But... there is one game-mechanic that is really dumb and that pulled all fun out of it for me. Why the hell would your chars lose a permanent health point once they die? Some of them have in the beginning only 3 or 4 hp. I mean whats the logic behind this? When i cant pass a lvl with full hp how will i make it with less? I think this punishment is unfair and makes the players wish not to replay a lvl with less chances. In the end in my opinion the game pushes me to force quit the game once the animation of a falling hero starts so that i can retry the lvl without less hp. This makes me really scratch my head. I also have the feeling this game was in the beginning designed as an f2p with 3 currencies in it, but lets see what this means for the later game.... but right now im not sure i will ever restart. Not happy I can't buy the game but I guess it's good Apple Arcade is finally getting some nice games. The main map clearly has open areas for additional levels. The production values are top notch and as Apple Arcade release, no ftp gimmicks. Can definitely see this releasing as a premium and potentially a ftp release. As far as difficulty, seems just about right; had to retry most areas at least once. Definite replay value as-is with the unlockable chars/skills. If your an Apple Arcade member, this is a no-brainer, otherwise may be a good reason to subscribe. Saw some gameplay during Pocket Gamer's Launchpad. Looks brilliant. Doesn't look as stressful as the Kingdom Rush tower defense games and ofc has the Ironhide polish. Can't wait.
