But hey, that'll at least guarantee you an evening of fun on the couch kicking some aliens in the behind while wondering whether it was really necessary to blend a casual strategy game with a fricking dating sim. It's just that one level tho, promised. Well, anyways... At its very core End Matter is an arena-like strategy game set in space: short and action-packed (puke) rounds of conquering new planets, defending them from enemy players, outgrowing their fleets and showing them who's intergalactic boss. On top of its core game play loop the game experiments with some unique game modes and dabbles into a bunch of weird genre blends. Ever wondered what 4 in a row with planets, space ships and black hole guns looks like? You'll find out right after flirting with the thicc planet next door that has a secret love affair with an AI named Steve. Content - 40 levels leaving you wondering whether it's kinda, sorta art or if the dev really just lost it. - 11 even more pretentious game modes for you to unlock. - 11 weapons. Also unlockable. One of them is a black hole gun tho. Just saying. - Infinite fun playing all the above over and over again in custom quick matches. - Umm... - And a tutorial. No in-app purchases, no tracking, no selling your data, no bs -- just a casual space sim to enjoy on the couch. Have fun :) Information Seller:Mario Koenig Genre:Action, Strategy Release:Mar 19, 2021 Updated:Mar 26, 2021 Version:1.1.1 Size:69.5 MB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating:Unrated Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal Mobile trailer Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel PC trailer Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel rioko likes this. Sort of got a Galcon thing going on but with rather more depth and strategic options. Very minimalist style which is right up my street. This could be great. rioko likes this. It looks good rioko likes this. rioko New Member Apr 2, 2021 4 5 3 #6 rioko, Apr 2, 2021 Hey, the actual dev of End Matter here. The core gameplay loop is playing quick rounds against one or more enemies: you start off with one planet and a handful of ships which you can grow by capturing more planets. Those planets have different stats which can give you boosts in defense, attack or ship growth. The more planets you capture, the faster you grow your fleet. The enemy does the same tho, so you'll need to try to keep them from expanding or try to attack and capture their planets. There's also a campaign which introduces some game modes like team matches, capture the flag and some more... let's say experimental ones. The game is leaning more towards a casual experience. If you want to see someone play it, search for it on YT. There are a few let's plays of the desktop version which is identical. Bonus: It runs on macOS Big Sur (had one (reported) programcrash). rioko likes this. rioko New Member Apr 2, 2021 4 5 3 #11 rioko, Apr 8, 2021 Hey, thanks for the feedback! You're gonna curse out that one specific level later in the campaign... Matches with fewer ships are meant to be a bit tougher but I'll see if this needs some balancing. Thanks for submitting the crash report! Are you using the dedicated macOS version or are you using the iOS version on an M1? If it's the latter, DM me and I can send you the macOS version since you bought the game already anyways. That one got a few more features like proper keyboard support, full screen/windowed mode, etc. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
