There’s some UI cut off on the sides / corner of the screen and the notch is covering a little bit, but it doesn’t get in the way of the on-screen controls. I’m guessing there’s a pause button* but for right now I have to partially close the app then pull it from the background to get to the menu screen. The game supports controllers but the on-screen buttons can be resized. Definitely a cool roguelite. Would recommend even with the slight UI issues I mentioned. *Edit: there is a pause button, I just couldn’t see it when the background was bright. It’s in the middle / top of the screen (see below screenshot). When the menu is open, then notch only cuts off the first few letters of the attributes (second screenshot). It’s simple to figure out what is covered up. During gameplay, ore collected is listed on the left side with the amount of each (copper, silver, gold) slightly cut off. Not a dealbreaker at all since you can deposit ore in shafts found scattered through the levels so it’s saved when you die. Ore is used to create new gear after finding blueprints, and the gear can also be upgraded once crafted. To be clear, though: the developers recommends playing with a controller, and they are not kidding. Also, you can move and resize the buttons however you like. I’ve gotten quite far in the game (maxed out my character level) using the default setup. Just wanted to make sure people aren’t turned away by the thought of bad controls. It is great that you can use a controller but, like I said, I haven’t felt the need to use one. anthony78 likes this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, Apr 2, 2021 That’s good to hear. I didn’t try the touch controls for long, but they were definitely not bad — I just had a much easier time with a controller. Awesome roguelike. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #11 squarezero, Apr 2, 2021 I’m usually not enthusiastic about roguelikes, but the fact that you get to keep your character progress when you die makes this way more appealing. Love the traversal, too, and the loot/crafting system is pretty sweet. Lull4by, Anotherkellydown and anthony78 like this. No classes, but you can tailor your build towards speed/nimbleness or damage/armor/health. Strong focus on clearing rooms (you can’t leave until you do). Every section has a boss fight that’s definitely a difficulty spike. But since you keep stats and equipment after you die, you can grind to make it easier on yourself.
