Certainly not as well as the PC version, but is fine. I personally like the touch controls compared to the PC's keyboard layout, but that may just be me. Not sure about the calibration, but it does feel slightly more forgiving than the other Deemo mobile game (again, just my opinion). So that's the Deemo rhythm gameplay. The puzzle part is a bit awkward with the touchscreen controls (you move with the left half of screen and have camera control on the right side). Certainly not designed for mobile, but serviceable. Menus are a little laggy, but if you have a faster iPhone/iPad, you should be fine. If you already have Deemo Reborn on PC, I believe the only content that is new here is Prime Pack IV and the Taiko collab pack. Prime Pack IV undoubtedly will come to PC sooner or later (maybe even tomorrow morning? Just my speculation though), but the Taiko pack is likely exclusive to Switch and mobile. If you have the other Deemo Mobile game, I think all the DLC (aside from the Taiko pack) is available in there. Deemo Reborn itself does have some exclusive songs though. Just a quick summary: - Serviceable port. Rhythm gameplay is probably fine. Not sure about calibration, seems more forgiving to me. - Puzzle gameplay a bit awkward but again serviceable - If you have Reborn elsewhere, the only new content here is the Taiko collab (which is also on Switch) - If you have the original mobile version, Taiko is new and so are (some of) the songs included in the Deemo Reborn base offering. agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,702 222 63 #4 agreen437, Dec 17, 2020 Trying on an unsupported device iPad Pro 2nd generation A10X chip with 4 gb of ram wish me luck agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,702 222 63 #5 agreen437, Dec 17, 2020 I see why now the graphics are not good on anything older agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,702 222 63 #6 agreen437, Dec 17, 2020 I’m should be getting a newer iPad in the months to come metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #7 metalcasket, Dec 17, 2020 The IAP stuff is super confusing to a non-buyer. What is total cost if buy all extras? Thanks. nanl00127 Member Dec 26, 2014 20 2 3 #13 nanl00127, Dec 17, 2020 It's a remake of sorts of the original Deemo game. It adds some 3D puzzle elements on top of the original game. The rhythm gameplay itself is more or less the same as mobile. Base price appears to be $1.99 on early purchase sale. Buying all four Prime Packs as a Platinum Bundle costs $19.99, and then the not-included Taiko Collab pack is another $4.99. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #14 metalcasket, Dec 17, 2020 You mentioned the word "serviceable" a number of times above and running through a bunch of the Android version's reviews, a ton of folks are saying the game's buggy, stutters and overheats devices. Is that the same case on iOS? I noticed the list of supported devices over on iOS starts with the XS so that may be why you may be having that menu lag, but if it's not a buggy mess, I think I'll take advantage of that launch sale. nanl00127 Member Dec 26, 2014 20 2 3 #15 nanl00127, Dec 18, 2020 The menu lag isn't too severe imo. The lag only affects the puzzle elements, which, while annoying, doesn't really detract too much. Sure, I'd love the 60 FPS I get on my laptop, but now that I've played more of the mobile version of Reborn, I've gotten somewhat more used to it. The actual rhythm gameplay is largely lag free. Device definitely heats up a bit and the battery drains quickly but it's nothing too bothersome (granted it's winter here so the warmth is quite welcome!) Doesn't seem buggy at all to me! Haven't had any crashes or unexpected gameplay behaviors. I have played this game on PC before and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary here. metalcasket likes this.
