This game is probably the best Lunar Lander-type platformer I've played on iOS till now. It plays in portrait on iPhone and while it comes with the option to switch to touch controls, the default tilt controls are beyond perfect...I can't imagine why anyone would to abandon them. Right off the bat, we're talking MASSIVE labyrinthine levels with nooks and crannies, unforgivable enemies, item collection, door switches, all that great stuff. Oh, and it's by the dude responsible for the acclaimed rogue-like Enchanted Cave games, so that pedigree means you know you're getting your monies worth. Enchanted (pun intended) with this, and can't recommend it enough! adin and Anotherkellydown like this. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,968 719 113 England #3 psj3809, Dec 17, 2020 Oh tough one for me. When they came out at reasonable 2/3 or 5 bucks it was easier, at least for me. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #6 metalcasket, Dec 17, 2020 No doubt. It's getting harder and harder to entertain this hobby, especially when a ton of developers don't seem to respect their customers and are opting for high pricing at launch + immediate sales soon after, and whatnot. Rather than blindly buying stuff that looks great, I have to spend an hour researching individual developers' App Store practices to see if I'm on the verge of getting burned. It sucks. macplash and Gwarmaxx like this. If this is a big game $10 is fine. Just have to consider all the cheaper crawlers out there. Can’t play those forever but it does mean you have to consider what $10 gives you comparatively. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #8 metalcasket, Dec 17, 2020 No research done here. The Enchanted Cave 2: Recent Price Changes $5.99 since Dec 31, '19 $2.99 for 8 days Dec 23, '19 $5.99 for 601 days May 01, '18 $2.99 before May 01, '18 I think that, too, speaks for itself, but I do know what you mean and I have no clue how much content is in Jetscout. Do keep in mind this has also simultaneously released on Steam for the same price, so I would assume it's not a small game by any means. EDIT: Steam achievements suggest there's a heap of content. I'm not entirely sure because I'm trying to get all 3 stars on each level, and so I instantly restart once I've got a point on my death counter. This is all semi-relevant because while you can replenish your air at each of the checkpoints, the speedrunning aspect of the game (if that's your thing) allows you to breeze through levels without landing on a single checkpoint. They're not mandatory at all. Risk versus reward and all that jazz. EDIT: @Collin...I think I was indeed mistaken and it's both fuel and something you have to deal with even when you aren't hit at all. It's VERY forgiving though. Collin likes this.
