And it’s by the same developer as Tales from the Neon Sea, which also has pretty poor translation (even excluding the rooms that were fixed from not having any translation at all). The translation is a bit off on occasion but not enough to bother me, in fact some of it is quite endearing. I did just hit one main issue though, unless I’m being very stupid, I ran out of moves to make on a level and I couldn’t work out how to carry on as the board didn’t reset. Unfortunately I then quit my entire game.... forfeit apparently meaning end game, not end battle.... L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #9 L.Lawliet, Nov 30, 2020 Oh darn that sucks. Well at least you'll know what to not do next time. I'm also tempted to get this. Do you know how the battles are? Are they fast paced with a timer or maybe enemies constantly attack? Or do they wait for you to make your move aka turn based? orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #10 orangecan, Nov 30, 2020 Battles are turn based, there’s no timer based stuff that I’ve come across yet. It’s the fairly standard setup of units progressing down from the top, turn based attacks and attacks from the bottom based on where your units are placed. Each battle takes place in a kind of a mini story quest/mission, and there’s a sort of day by day progression where you get the chance to level up your units, buy something at the shop or battle something. I haven’t worked out how the story progresses yet, but when I restarted accidentally I got the option to start with different characters and difficulty levels (first round was ‘easy’, then I got the ‘normal’ option) and there were definitely different plot elements the second time round (With the same character). So far, after an hour or so play I’m enjoying it a lot. The gameplay/match3 itself is tried and tested nothing particularly new but well implemented and I’m waiting to see what the rest of it gives, and certainly no regrets picking it up. Apart, that is, from the issue of running out of moves which I hope was my stupidity and not the game... Enjoying it but there really doesn’t seem to be an overarching story that I can tell. Just little quests that don’t seem to relate much to one another. Not sure if that changes but, while I like the gameplay, lack of a cohesive story is disappointing. I prefer turn based match 3 rather than the timer ones so that was my main concern. I'm glad this isn't a "speed run" match 3. A bit bummed the quests are random / no story but maybe they were aiming to be an rpg match 3 roguelike where you can just keep going? It sounds that way though the rpg elements and abundance of characters should keep the game fun. TheSilveryWolf likes this.
