Totally different playstyle than classic pinball. Had to get used to it. I played a bit, but found this game too be somehow too generic and bland. It simply didn‘t hook me, and I looove pinball games. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #7 squarezero, Dec 5, 2020 Peggle? No — this is nothing like Peggle. Peggle is basically pachinko with guided throws and special effects. It’s a turn-based game that’s as much about luck as skill. This is pinball with moving pieces and an aiming mechanic. Generic? You know, if you want to play the game snob around here, you may want to develop a more precise vocabulary. For a game to be generic, it needs to have little to distinguish it from other games in its genre. So, what genre are you talking about? Other pinball games? Other zombie games? Other tower defense games? Please enlighten us. Bland? Well, that’s subjective, so I guess I have to give you that. I don’t find this bland at all, but hey I would probably find some of your faves “bland” as well. I‘m not a native English speaker, sorry for not having a complex enough vocabulary. It doesn‘t seem to be allowed to not like a game that moderators love. And personal grudges seem strong as well. I still think this game lacks personality. It‘s basically just a polished re-release and it simply doesn‘t do a lot for me. But again, sorry if I‘m currently on your blacklist. Never meant anything personal. Will only comment on games I like in the future. I guess any word from me is one too much anyways. So, sorry once again. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, Dec 6, 2020 Never said I loved this game, and just me responding to your criticism is not putting you on a blacklist. And for the record, English is my second language, too. The problem is that word like “generic,” “bland,” and “soulless” are game-critic cliches — more about showing superiority than saying anything meaningful about a game. But you see, once I pushed you a little, you actually delivered something more useful: “lacks personality,” “doesn’t do a lot for me.” The first one is specific, the second is an actual impression. Oh, the Peggle thing was more personal: I’m a recovering Peggle addict and this game did not scratch that itch at all. I just thought your comparison was misleading. As to this game, I think it’s decent if a little cluttered visually. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
