Does have potential but I wish you could buy games rather than having to do the subscription You get two free games to try. But I can’t see many people doing that subscription model at all. They need better games for sure. Damn. I dont love every Apple Arcade game but it was worth it alone for Oceanhorn 2 Have you subscribed to this one or tried the two free games ? I'm a huge retro fan but this ones way overpriced Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #5 Jstorm, Nov 17, 2020 Your post contains misinformation. All the games are titles from NES or Disk System. They are proper retro games, not home brew. The service is unlikely to have games from major developers like Konami, or Nintendo since they are more likely to publish those games under their service if they were to do so, but titles in this service are those games that are considered the better one in the genre. Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #6 Jstorm, Nov 17, 2020 The very first thing I did was to find the subscription button. If I were to play even one of those games without this service today would cost me $60 per title. It’s more of nostalgic thing. AppleArcade would have more contents, but those NES games have special place for me. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,972 722 113 England #7 psj3809, Nov 17, 2020 fair enough thanks for telling me. I play a lot of NES games but didn’t recognise those two games you get for free at all. Think if I saw a ‘big name’ game I would probably be a fan of it more. May try the trial just to see if any of the other games are any good shame it’s subscription though. Remember years back on iOS there was a turbo Grfx app which had some classic old games on it but it was never updated and disappeared. You bought each game for 99p or £1.99 which was really good. Be interesting to see how this turns out Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #8 Jstorm, Nov 18, 2020 If you didn’t know, this service is planned to continuously add titles like AppleArcade, and GameClub, so I don’t see the problem with the subscription model. I am quite amazed how much functionality this app provides. It has video streaming service, quick save/load, game pad support, and even online coop. This app is probably the most well made NES emulator available on AppStore. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
