Total installed size on device is 8.12GB. This is actually kind of impressive as I believe it’s like 20GB on other platforms. Load time of the game is also kinda long, as was seen on the previous. After the initial load, load time is around 40 seconds (I might have timed it). (On Xs Max). Yes, it’s a big game in more ways than one. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #4 ste86uk, Nov 4, 2020 This one is pricey, I’m going to wait for impressions from people for how well it runs on iOS before jumping in. I really hope it runs smoothly. V Kuolema Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2011 431 27 28 Canada #5 V Kuolema, Nov 5, 2020 I’m in Canada and it still hasn’t released yet aaaagh. I do hope it has changed since its been many years. To give a crazy example, I bought XCOM on iOS and loved it. I had the newest phone at the time it released. That app made my device SUPER hot and it literally burned battery faster than ANY iPhone app I've played in my life. To this day. No joke. I played it ON THE CHARGER and it it was losing battery as I was playing. That's how crazy the battery consumption was. At that point I didn't get a refund but I quit playing despite it being a pricey purchase. I think if it eats battery that fast, gets super hot, and can barely be played on a charger, I'd rather not burn out my device like that. It didn't feel like portable gaming when even the charger was barely enough for it. Maybe with newer phones or new app optimization it'll be better but I won't be too optimistic about that. I just always remember that XCOM was the worst battery eater of any iPhone app I've played. And 2nd worst battery eater in my iOS gaming life would be the new Beat Hazard Ultra 2, the amazing sequel I always wanted with the worst app support and optimization. I couldn't even get a refund for that because Apple support was disabled during the beginning of the pandemic and it was apparently my fault I couldn't get in touch with them. Ijipop likes this.
