Seemed to be one of the big down points on steam reviews. They say the translation is rubbish and horrible to read. Aerion Well-Known Member May 14, 2014 51 8 8 #9 Aerion, Oct 28, 2020 I have the impression that 2 different ppl or teams worked on the localization to English: some parts are well done and even funny/ironic, some parts are horrible to read. The game would greatly benefit from more polish here, definitely. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #10 anthony78, Oct 28, 2020 Been playing it and enjoying it but, yeah, translation is still pretty bad. Surprising since it’s been out on Steam for well over a year. Was hoping that would have been cleaned up. There’s some words that you know what it should have been but the one they use isn’t even in the ballpark. Most of it is okay. Just the issues that are there are glaring. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #11 ste86uk, Oct 28, 2020 definitely sad to hear it hasn’t been done that just makes me think they are lazy and don’t care about their game. Hell even I’ve corrected all of the English in games for a couple of games now because I just can’t stand it. Not that I’m perfect with mine but still far better than broken English that makes no sense or reads horribly. moshgra Active Member Aug 24, 2012 43 14 8 General Service Technician at PepBoys. What a bummer. Based on the never fixed steam version i guess we wont see an update on this. It definitely makes me appreciate Chinese companies that have good translations to their games (miHoYo, Pearl Abyss) since there are plenty of games that have less than stellar translations. Still might definitely pick this up in the future since there is a lot of work put into the game. Just hoping for a couple of good translation patches. Gwarmaxx likes this. I’m sorry but the fact that this was out for over a year on PC and wasn’t fixed for this version is pure laziness. Sure it took effort to port but spend another month or so fixing the translation and release it right. In any other gaming era of the past something like this would easily fetch full retail...yes I’m old. I’m definitely going to pick this up then. I am a big fan of detective like adventures and the pixel art is amazing. I’ve been itching to play weird sci-fi / cyberpunk style games and had interest in this since early this year when I first heard about it. Other strange sci-fi games on my short list I’m looking into: I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream- disturbing cult classic from what I’ve read about it although I’ve never played the game or read the book. Only problem is I don’t know the compatibility with the latest iOS. Certain games say their compatible yet don’t boot up under the newest iOS. Flashback - despite my oldness I’ve actually never played flashback. Another World- never played it and it’s very much a classic sci-fi game. much like the above I hope it works. Gwarmaxx likes this.
