Well, at the least no one can tell me to RTFM. mgambino Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2014 159 95 28 #6 mgambino, Sep 5, 2020 Hex is actually pretty easy to learn the basics. You should be able to find some stuff on boardgamegeek if you can’t get any manuals or tutorials to work. I was really into the board version for a while, but now I don’t have anyone to play it with irl, so I’m hopeful Portal will get app up and running again. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to play Convoy. I have game (physical version), but it remains unopened on my shelf. Jstorm likes this. Molochs just have to destroy all other districts and get one robot to New York, or have at least one card left in their deck. It’s gradually making more sense. mgambino Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2014 159 95 28 #11 mgambino, Sep 5, 2020 Always the sign of a well written manual. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #20 Asp, Sep 7, 2020 Took a while to learn the actual mechanics as they’re unlike anything else I’ve seen but actually easy when you know how. At first I thought it was played one city at a time, but in fact cards can be played in any future cities on the board, which, if unoccupied, can provide a +1 bonus! This opens many tactical possibilities. Strategically there’s more depth here than the Mariana Trench. It’s incredibly difficult to know which cards to play without overcommitting. The AI has hammered me every game so far. To beat it, I think, will take an detailed knowledge of the capabilities of both (asymmetric) sets of cards, which will take many plays to learn. Verdict - Excellent if you’re into deep thinky games and want to battle a monster AI. Not good if you want a casual game that can be played once in a while. Talbs likes this.
