It took me a while to understand how the blocking works but I’ve got it now. Got my first win too! This is a lot more fun than I expected. It’s a very well thought out card game with just enough depth and strategy to keep me wanting to play again and again. It’s rare I find a strategy game that’s easy enough on my brain that I don’t feel like I need to take a break after a couple plays. Very unique premise and perfectly executed. Ijipop Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2012 557 268 63 #3 Ijipop, Sep 3, 2020 I played a little yesterday. It reminds me a little of Boolitaire. The game looks real nice and the execution is very very good. But after a couple of games (and wins). It left me with the feeling there is just not enough. Not enough different cards, not enough different mechanics, not enough different opponents. Nothing to unlock. The game is free, so I can’t really complain here. But I thought there would be more meat around the bone. As of now, I can see myself popping this once in a while. But I cannot see myself playing compulsively. For what it is. It’s excellent though. (On the appstore you can see IAP, wich are nowhere to be found in-game?!?) anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #4 anthony78, Sep 3, 2020 Fun little game for here and there but wish there was upgrades you could spend your prize money on. Does feel like it needs just a little more. I’d be happy to pay for an expanded version of this game with more variety and upgrades. gmattergames and Ijipop like this. ilsilvano Member Nov 26, 2015 10 11 3 #5 ilsilvano, Sep 3, 2020 I really liked the first game, and I won it. And I tried a second time, and won again with a different boxer. And then... that's it? The correct tactics to use are easy to grasp, so I would definitely pay some dollars for a "full version" of the game including different opponents, different cards, a tournament, etc. Please make it! adin and Ijipop like this. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #6 vectorarchitekt, Sep 4, 2020 I can’t win a single match to save my life. Anyone have any strategies to share? ilsilvano Member Nov 26, 2015 10 11 3 #7 ilsilvano, Sep 4, 2020 Just make sure you realized these three things that you might have missed: - each time you use a BLOCK it shows the value of the last punch you blocked in the lower right corner. If you try to block a punch with an higher value the block will not work and it will be discarder. - you can save one PUNCH and one BLOCK card in the slots on the sides, make sure you do the math right and try to use blocks with maximum efficiency. It does not matter if a punch hits you, is much more important to use every block several times. - there is a punch card (sorry I do not remember its name) that puts one card back in the deck - I do not know if it goes to the back of the deck or if it is shuffled. If you cannot block a powerful punch, use it to remove the punch from play; the important thing here is that you do not have to go through ALL the cards in the deck, but "just" to survive 12 rounds. Not great strategies here, but I hope something is useful to suggest you the best way to play! Offense mechanic has no other purpose than enhancing block efficiency. The object is to survive so I guess this makes sense but seems like there is potential for a much deeper game. Still kinda neat. I’ve only played 3 fights and have enjoyed it but not crazy over it. The quality is through the roof though. Anyways, as I play if more thoughts come to mind I will add. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #10 vectorarchitekt, Sep 6, 2020 Thanks!
