I maybe get one red tile now and then, and they’re always easy to eliminate. But, maybe it ramps up on later levels (I’m only at 7)? Are the levels infinite? Lesbird Well-Known Member Nov 30, 2010 145 68 28 Male Game Programmer Boston Massachusetts https://lesbird.github.io #5 Lesbird, Aug 18, 2020 Yes the levels are infinite. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll update it and make it more challenging. Red tiles work as follows: 1. A meter tracks how many letters you’ve used. If it's over 20 then there’s a chance for a red tile to appear. The meter is not capped so can grow infinitely if you keep using a lot of easy low scoring words. 2. If you score 1,000 or greater the meter is reduced by the number of letters in the word. So if the meter is at 40 and the word is 4 letters the meter drops to 36. 3. If you’re at level 6 or greater there’s a higher chance for a red tile if the conditions above are met. 4. If you spell the bonus word the red tile pick is cancelled 5. If you spell a category word the red tile pick is cancelled 6. If you use a scramble a red tile will always appear so if you spell a lot of >1,000 point words you can keep the meter below the threshold of 20 and a red tile will never appear. The 1,000 point score should probably be bumped up as it’s easy to score more than that when using certain letters. I’ll fine tune this in a future update. vectorarchitekt likes this. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #6 vectorarchitekt, Aug 18, 2020 Thanks, that is good info!
