It contains the beginning of the game and you can compare the performance of your mobile device. TauCeti Unknown Origin throws your protagonist directly into the danger. Your space ship, famed ESS Meridian (known from Dead effect 2) has gone haywire and crashed. The escape pod saved your life and brought you safely to the surface of the planet Tau Ceti f, directly in the jungle full of unknown life forms, some of them possibly intelligent, and now littered with the debris from the crashed ship. Can you survive and uncover the secrets of the planet? TauCeti Unknown Origin is a beautiful but dangerous place. From thick tropical rainforests to deep canyons and dangerous marshes, it's full of dangerous fauna and traces of ancient civilizations. Mysterious crumbling temples can offer shelter and knowledge, but they're often full of danger. Lifeforms on the planet are not friendly and they don't take kindly to pieces of your broken ship and a handful of human survivors. Constant stutters and momentary freezes. Even ran benchmark of one of the levels. Results weren't good. Needless to say, the phone heated up considerably and lost about 20% of battery in completing the demo. It's quite a technical achievement to get such graphics on a mobile game. No doubt. But realistically speaking, I am not looking forward to playing this on my phone. Oh and the writing needs to improve. It's quite bland currently. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #3 squarezero, Aug 4, 2020 Exactly my experience on an iPhone XS (though probably fewer stutters). Agreed on the writing, too. Decent setup (reminds me of Journey to the Savage Planet), but the execution is negligible. We’ll see where they land with the finished game. Definitely graphics over substance especially for a demo when trying to lure us in. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
