Haven’t seen this option in the game orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #4 orangecan, Jul 15, 2020 I’m on the fence here, I do quite fancy it but I’ve a massive backlog and I’m wary about paying a premium price for something with iap. I’d be interested to hear any impressions though Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,233 538 113 #5 Brightsiderus, Jul 15, 2020 There is only one IAP, and it’s free Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #6 Stronsay, Jul 15, 2020 Trouble is, I’ve been playing this on PC for years where it’s one of the best physics simulators. The reduced detail here means much of the immersion and heft of moving heavy machinery through mud is lost. This does work fine as a lite version. Presumably further paid DLC areas and vehicles will be added later. Bear in mind it’s more simulation than game. Graphics are not the same as console. They’re more muted and basic, but the game overall is very easy to recommend! It’s honestly dangerous to have this in my pocket at all times haha! Certainly not free. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #13 orangecan, Jul 15, 2020 First impressions from the tutorial is that it looks pretty dreadful on the iPad. As others have pointed out it’s obviously not as detailed as the PC version but I wasn’t expecting it to look this bad. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #14 metalcasket, Jul 15, 2020 I suspect it was always supposed to be paid at $2.99 and was just showing up as $0.00 during the pre-order phase, but who knows...maybe there was a brief timeframe to pick it up for free or the game has a way of knowing you pre-ordered and thus would unlock it for free. No idea. Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,233 538 113 #15 Brightsiderus, Jul 15, 2020 @metalcasket @orangecan I bought the game early today, and it was absolutely free for me. RealisticArcadeSimulator Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2018 158 38 28 #16 RealisticArcadeSimulator, Jul 15, 2020 Which iPad model are you playing on? The fact that they've changed the DLC's price on launch day from free to 2.99 was a bad move in my opinion! I haven't found any official communication on their behalf that it was supposed to be a "gift" for pre-order players. It surely leaves a sour taste in any buyers mouth. Murbs Member Jun 16, 2010 13 0 1 Gloucester, UK #17 Murbs, Jul 15, 2020 Hmm. Perhaps I’ll wait for another sale on the Switch version... Haven’t played more than an hour or so on PS4, but this feels like the difficulty has been reduced somehow.
