No touch control at menus and stores. Partial support for my Gamevice controller (A,B,X, and Y buttons work but not the d-pad or directional buttons) Jump and jet are two separate buttons. This will take some time to get used to. At the least it’s not written on the app description. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #6 sakara214ever, Jul 13, 2020 These must be the worst controls i have tried in a game for a long time. Unplayable on my iPhone X. Controler not supported just two buttons. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #7 anthony78, Jul 13, 2020 Well, that’s disappointing to hear. Don’t mind it not having controller support but if the on screen ones aren’t good then guess I will have to pass. BigDich likes this. You have to adjust the jet power while maneuvering right/left using the same joystick. I don’t think a physical controller would fix this problem. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #9 anthony78, Jul 13, 2020 Last edited: Jul 13, 2020 Since it’s free to try, decided to give it a shot. Controls take some getting used to but honesty, I think they work fairly well. I’d love it if you had unlimited jet fuel just to fly around and shoot stuff. That’s probably the thing that takes some learning but I’ve upgraded my jet pack so getting a bit longer with fuel. Does have a lunar lander feel trying to navigate caves without getting damage. Tutorials clearly are meant for a different control set up but not too hard to figure out what buttons do what. I’m going to keep playing. Seems like a cute and different take on a Metroidvania. Edit: Probably the biggest problem is the store menus. Seriously, give us regular touch controls for those at least! Thedrawguy Well-Known Member Jan 8, 2019 54 33 18 Male #10 Thedrawguy, Jul 13, 2020 I am finding this game to be quite fun. The jet pack gets easier to control the more you play and as you level up the jet pack can be used longer before having to recharge. The save areas are spaced well enough that you don’t lose too much progress if you die. Over all, this game is worth sticking with to get better at the controls. Right from the start , I found the controls not perfect but not terrible. I love Metroid like games , and this has me looking forward to playing more. anthony78 likes this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #11 anthony78, Jul 14, 2020 Game was updated. Started a new game out of curiosity and the tutorials were fixed with the right buttons noted. Anyway, went back to my original game and getting better with the controls and jet pack really does improve as you level up. Still having trouble getting past the first boss I found though not quite sure if it’s an optional boss.
