I love that art! Let's just see how the f2p turns out *crosses fingers* I do wish these games were just paid, I'd buy them right away. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #3 anthony78, Jul 10, 2020 Game is paid on Steam but reviews are mixed. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #4 L.Lawliet, Jul 10, 2020 Okay, wow. 100% recommend this game. This is like some kind of triple-A esque game because it's beautiful in every way. My favorite genre right now is rogue-like deck builders so this is perfect. First of all, can be played offline (my first check). And then right from the get-go, you can tell this game has INCREDIBLE quality. The music, the art, character design, sound effects, the UI, everything is damn polished. The games makes great use of the screen real-estate (something that is often overlooked in app design) and everything feels like there was so much thought put into it. The attack animations are similar to Darkest Dungeon. They look so good. Ugh I can gush so much about the game. It's one of those games you open up and you're in love at first sight. Steam Notes: Looks like the biggest concern that I see on Steam is the disappearing deck cards after use. It seems everyone loves the game but that feature breaks the entire review. That's pretty bad I won't lie. But I have to give credit for everything else in the game. I'll play it more and maybe I'll change my mind but for now, it's pretty amazing. I do have to note, while comparing the Steam page, this game might actually be a variation of the game itself. It doesn't look exactly the same and it's called "Phantom Rose Scarlet" instead of "Phantom Rose". The cards right now show turn cool-downs and so it's possible that there is no disappearing card mechanic here. If that's the case, this might be even better. I can't tell until a run completely ends and I start anew so we'll have to see if the cards to actually disappear. That would be a big improvement if they did not. Brb, off to buy the supporter IAP pack (disables ads + other bonuses). This game deserves it. Hard to tell what specifically is different in the mobile version but it's definitely not just a port of the Steam version. ThirdMoon Well-Known Member May 21, 2014 124 18 18 #7 ThirdMoon, Jul 10, 2020 The developer says this will not be released in the EU at this time, but might in the future. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #8 L.Lawliet, Jul 10, 2020 If you really want a play another region then I would just make another account and log in / out. That's what I do for JP games. In any case, the previous Steam players would love this one. Apparently the deck cards do not disappear, which they all complained about. It's standard deck building where you unlock new cards and you build a different deck each match. Though less variety since there aren't classes so you basically just have to make the best deck you can each time. Sadly i will have to get in an off-eu account, where i can’t spend any money to support it... There's a bunch for 200-800 gems. You can get these premium gems completing achievements or daily missions. Also you get a bunch for being a paid supporter for free, if you do pay the $5 (which I recommend). --- I know lots of other threads have people asking about iCloud so this one does indeed have iCloud. It's manual sync however. But I personally prefer this rather than waiting for another device to sync up - which sometimes has you opening and closing an app over and over. Ijipop likes this. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #13 ShinHadoukin, Jul 10, 2020 Thanks L. I did purchase the $4.99. So far I have enjoyed this a lot. Even the simple fact it has virtually no load times has enabled me to jump in for a quick fight and save. oh, one question: I had what seemed to be a mini-game when exploring that asked me to tap when a key lined up. I tapped a million times when the key swung into a red color section that continually changed but nothing ever happened. Have you seen this? L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #14 L.Lawliet, Jul 10, 2020 If you paid, make sure to tap the + sign on the gems (top right) every 4 hours to get 150 free gems (what a steal) for completely FREE. I didn't even notice this until way later. I'm glad you enjoyed it! That sounds like the unlock treasure boxes mini game. You have to keep tapping right at the red section 2 or 3 times then the box will unlock. It probably looked like it wasn't doing anything but you have to do it more than once. Ijipop likes this. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #15 ShinHadoukin, Jul 10, 2020 Thanks. I might have never noticed that as I probably would not buy gems. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #16 L.Lawliet, Jul 12, 2020 I know I keep gushing about this game but I found out that this entire game is made by ONE person. That's crazy. Such talent is really rare, even among elites in the industry. This single person did the GAME, UI DESIGN, ART, MUSIC, SOUND DESIGN, LOCALIZATION. I'm still shocked how you can make a game this good all on your own. There are some other single man teams like this but they're very uncommon. I think it just needs to be highlighted the amount of work and quality this single dev did. Ported / recreated the game from Steam to mobile as well. Crazy stuff. Ijipop likes this.
