Choice-driven, and cast with rich, multi-dimensional characters, it once again thrusts gamers into the monster-infested world of The Witcher. Crafted by the developers responsible for some of the most iconic moments in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms - Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath and sets out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge. Information Seller:CD PROJEKT S.A. It is essentially Gwent with a choice-based campaign, but they’ve really gone all out with the storytelling and production values. If you care at all about the Witcher universe, it’s kind of a no brainer. ste86uk, solarnya and Capronissimo71 like this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #5 anthony78, Jul 9, 2020 Last edited: Jul 9, 2020 This is a great game. Everyone knows that, right? Then, can someone explain to me why it's possible for me to download 21 gigs on my PS4 in 12 hours, yet 4 GB on my iPhone takes potentially the same amount of time. This damn thing's been downloading for close to 3 hours now and I'm not even a quarter done. /rant Oh wait, nah, I'm not done. Can we please have a ****ing 'Time Left' estimation feature on the App Store ffs? There. Done. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #8 ste86uk, Jul 9, 2020 That’s got to be one of the largest if not the largest iOS game I’ve seen. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #9 anthony78, Jul 9, 2020 I think Another Eden is 5 or 6 GB. Initial download is 4.2 GB but then it downloads updates on top of it. But, yeah, size is one reason I won’t be able to get this anytime soon. leokamiya Well-Known Member Sep 20, 2017 52 35 18 #10 leokamiya, Jul 9, 2020 This game downloads 2.2gb of data when you boot it up. The App Store needs to get rid of the download limitation for games. I think FF15 is one of the biggest, more than 8gb after downloading all episodes. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #11 squarezero, Jul 9, 2020 The figure I quoted includes the additional download. leokamiya likes this. chengchisang Well-Known Member May 25, 2018 119 31 28 #12 chengchisang, Jul 9, 2020 So, is it any good? metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #13 metalcasket, Jul 9, 2020 Did you manage to get this up and running? The additional download refuses to hit 100% on a data connection (and doesn’t actually use up any of my data) and since my WiFi is out, I can’t do anything else. The app size I’m getting in Settings is 1.97 GB and 2.06 gigs worth of documents and data for a total of 4.02. I literally have no clue what’s going on. Is it somehow transferring gigs from the app size to documents?! EDIT: Well, it finally worked on WiFi, but I'm still clueless as to what exactly goes on behind the scenes. I don't think the install works on data, I'm 200% sure the additional data that downloads is nowhere near 2.2 GB, there's no way it took me 3 hours to only download 1.97 GB from the App Store (and the app page says 3.9 gigs and trying to download that on a data connection says it's a 3.6 gig download). I wish I had seen the file size before touching the additional download, because I suspect something from the initial 4 gig installation was transferred to Data & Documents during the process. Conspiracy theory! squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #14 squarezero, Jul 9, 2020 I was surprised too by how quick the 2 GB “download” went. It was weird, too, because at one point it said I had 350 MB left but was at 99.1% download (the math doesn’t add up). In any event, it seems to run well on my XS. metalcasket likes this. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #15 metalcasket, Jul 9, 2020 Yeah, something's definitely not adding up, but honestly, having played the game for a while now, I really couldn't care less. Always wished but never thought this would come to mobile. (Glad I didn't pick it up on PC/console) But man the size. Jesus. After installing everything, takes up about 4.41 GB. And what's worse, the iCloud data is a whopping 2.41 GB. (Definitely not getting an iCloud upgrade for this) Also, if people remember the weird audio glitch from GRIS, where wireless earphones/headphones caused the sound to distort and completely break, yeah, that's here too. This one is quite annoying as it's an immersive experience and begs to be played with your utmost attention. Anyway, other than that, if you want a premium RPG card-battler CCG experience, and want to know what's all the fuss about the Witcher series and CD Projekt Red as a whole, then look no further. Go grab it and be amazed. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #19 sugimulm, Jul 10, 2020 For a non-card battler experience person, is this hard to understand? Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #20 Rocksaint, Jul 10, 2020 No. Not really. The rules are slightly different than your normal card battlers, but if you are only in it for the singleplayer experience (which you should be ), then I don't think you have a lot to worry about. Plus there are different difficulty options. Trust me, I was never a fan of Gwent (the card game embedded in this game) in Witcher 3. And honestly, I sucked at it so mostly avoided it. I got this game mainly for the signature CD Projekt Red storytelling, choices/consequences and RPG elements. I am not in it for the CCG or the card-battling. sugimulm likes this.
