https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rubix/id1483392706 This just released and claims to have over 1000 levels. You can even try a demo out on their website. Which made me pre order instantly. https://www.rubixgame.com/ Although rubix cubes were before my time this actually seems really good as a puzzle game adding more in by saying it has 5 special cubes that introduce new challenges with more to come. 60 achievements to complete too. No online connection needed and it even has a level editor to create your own puzzles and share them with other players and play their levels. I’m actually really looking forward to checking it out. Has a turn counter inside each level and seems very good so far. Although I feel like I’m not very good at it!Maybe because I’m in work and my head just isn’t focusing and wrapping itself around what I’m doing or I just need some more practice, started off very easy but surely I shouldn’t be getting stumped already. It sounds like a very simple concept but it makes interesting puzzles, it’ll be good to see where they take it over the course of 1000 levels and player built levels. ROGER-NL likes this. I also needed to get the hang of it, it’s a bit confusional at first, but once you do it’s fun. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #5 ste86uk, Jun 20, 2020 It’s harder than it seems, I’m not even getting the aha moments yet as sometimes I’m just completing the level and not really knowing exactly what I did... anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #6 anthony78, Jun 20, 2020 I think this game needs a longer tutorial. The levels in the tutorial were easy and I understood the idea but once it ends it didn’t click with me at all. ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #7 ste86uk, Jun 21, 2020 @anthony78 glad to know I’m not alone! I certainly want this to click because it looks really good and has so so many levels so hopefully it will. I keep going back and trying and maybe passing a level or 2 but not really figuring out how exactly I did it so it still doesn’t click. I am the lead developer of Rubix. I just stumbled upon this thread, I am glad you are interested in the game! You are right, it's been tricky to come up with a perfect curation for the levels, because some people find it too easy and others too hard. I am already too biased because I have played every level multiple times In your opinion, @ste86uk and @ROGER-NL, do you think that having more levels unlocked will alleviate the problem? So, if you are stuck on level 5 you can go and play level 6, even if you haven't completed level 5? Any feedback is very welcome! ste86uk likes this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #10 anthony78, Jun 23, 2020 Good to see you here @sdegetau . I think the problem here is that the tutorial only shows very simple levels. And then it dumps you into much different levels where you don’t have three colors in a row. The mechanics aren’t explained from that point on. I got through some levels but still don’t understand what I’m doing. I think the tutorial needs to be longer. I honestly stopped playing the game because I really don’t enjoy games where I am only solving things by random guesses. Maybe I’m just too dumb to figure it out, lol. I want it to click but right now it isn’t. sdegetau and ste86uk like this. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #11 ROGER-NL, Jun 23, 2020 Hi dev. yeah it’s better if you could skip a level when your stuck, and come back to it later. The game was fun for me, I got to level 177 as you could read, wish I had saw the other special cubes, now I only saw frozen and +1. Wish the game had Icloud though, I deleted it, but one day after I wanted to try level 178 again, but I had to begin by the beginning ouch. If you made the option of skipping levels, I would play again. sdegetau and ste86uk like this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #12 ste86uk, Jun 23, 2020 @sdegetau honestly I’ve not played in days because of the same reasons mentioned previously. I think the tutorial could teach a little more I’m confused by the levels and what I’m suppose to do to beat it when it doesn’t seem to make logical sense when I think I have 3 one colour and the 4th another but on the wrong blocks etc trying to do it. Usually I do it by accident and didn’t know what I’ve done and it doesn’t make it very fun. But I understand with some many levels and knowing how they work yourself it must be hard to curate it. Honestly a level skip would help but I don’t think it would do very much for me, I think a bigger tutorial teaching the mechanics a bit better is what’s needed so that we grasp exactly how it works and how to do it. I play a lot of puzzle games and can solve a lot by thinking and getting those aha moments when you finally figure out how to do something but something with this game is just missing that it feels like randomness even though I know it’s not. sdegetau and anthony78 like this. sdegetau New Member Jun 23, 2020 2 2 3 Male #13 sdegetau, Jun 24, 2020 Hello, everybody!
