Their previously Blood Card was a good STS like game vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #3 vectorarchitekt, Jun 12, 2020 Looks interesting, and I appreciated the developer trying to something different with Blood Card. But this also looks like yet another card game that should be portrait. ShinHadoukin likes this. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #4 L.Lawliet, Jun 12, 2020 Looks gorgeous. However I'm going to have to agree. Looking at the screenshots, I'm a bit baffled why it isn't portrait. Looks like left and right sides have tons of empty space. Portrait mode is preferable for pick up and play games like card games. ShinHadoukin and vectorarchitekt like this. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,615 377 83 #6 Talbs, Jun 13, 2020 Blood Card was/is pretty good. It offered something different with the cards are life mechanic. Which was enough to set it apart imo and make it a worthy stayer in my card rogue collection. Looks like this shares that mechanic. But with an StS iOS release just around the corner (and an announcement of such within the next 24 hours), I think I might wishlist this one. Though I am very tempted. It does look interesting with the stacks of enemies. @Capronissimo71 feel free to drop some thoughts about it here once you’ve given it a go. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #7 vectorarchitekt, Jun 13, 2020 It’s worth the $3 to play even just to tide you over until StS. It’s super simple to learn and play and it’s quite fun also. Obviously with the one and only STS coming soon I can say this is a good game for the genre fans who are waiting for the big title. However, I can say that deserves a place in a card game collection Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #11 Jstorm, Jun 13, 2020 Last edited: Jun 13, 2020 I wasn’t impressed with the berserker, but found the bug master to be quite interesting with her parasitic passives. Also the mechanics that require a player to consider how to deal with 9 enemies on the field makes this game unique, and different enough from StS (I played the steam version). anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,125 703 113 #12 anthony78, Jun 13, 2020 Last edited: Jun 13, 2020 I picked this up thinking Slay the Spire wouldn’t come out until later in the month and was kind of annoyed at myself for having gotten it. I love Slay the Spire and played it for a while then came back to this to see if it still grabbed me. It did. There’s enough difference going on here that I’ll make room for both. The whole your deck is your life thing is a pretty nice twist and there is a lot of strategy involved in determining which enemies to attack. Some interesting cards as well. Wouldn’t say it’s ever going to replace StS as my go to card battler but it’s a fun and unique game that I hope doesn’t get lost in the shuffle. Also is probably more challenging on the whole. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #13 stubbieoz, Jun 13, 2020 Woah, thanks for the heads up Talbs!
