Wasn’t expecting a d pad to use maybe it’s my age or my eyes. Often when a popup appears (iPhone XS) the writing is tiny so I have to keep taking a screenshot and then zoom into my photos to check the text !! played for about 20 minutes getting used to the icons etc Think I’ll be playing this a lot. Love it that it’s non linear. All good so far Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #7 Talbs, May 29, 2020 No need for the screen capture jibba jabba Use the iOS zoom function found in settings > accessibility > zoom. Turn zoom on. Set zoom region to full screen. Set zoom controller to on. You can configure the amount of zoom you want. Use the on screen button to zoom in and out by double tapping the button as often as you need. Or if got haptic screen can hold down to temporarily zoom in. You’ll work the rest out. You’re welcome. Cheers for the reminder The screens such as the inventory or conversation is a good size font. But its a shame they didnt increase the size of lots of the tip popups as its tiny and theres tons of room for text. If they can do that in an update it'll be great Also at the start some of the points you try to allocate, right at the bottom its sometimes slightly cut off. No biggie there sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #9 sakara214ever, May 29, 2020 Guys from what you've played so far would you say this one is worth it's money? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #10 psj3809, May 29, 2020 For me personally I'm really enjoying it. Its like a nuclear fallout Baldurs Gate, i wouldnt say its crazy complex (eg Baldurs Gate with SO many icons) but its advanced, its not a simple RPG kinda thing. Having the joystick rather than tap to move (which you can also do) is great. I'm amazed i have this on my phone, its great zooming in, rotating the screen around etc. Only negatives are the tip windows which are way too small (for now) so the magnifier tip above is great. So far so good, only touched the surface so far. Huge non-linear world with lots of side missions (i've read), cant wait to play more Ijipop and sakara214ever like this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #11 sakara214ever, May 29, 2020 Thanks for that. Is it bad, or just moderate? Not at all? My iPhone X tends to heat up pretty easily JKT123 New Member Apr 27, 2014 3 2 3 #13 JKT123, May 30, 2020 I have an iPhone X too and it does heat up after playing for a prolonged time. However, I am running it at only one notch down from the maximum in the graphics settings, so you could probably get it to run cooler by dialling that down further. As for the game, it is very like Fallout (in a good way). In fact, the dialogue is littered with subtle nods to it. By and large, after a fair few hours playing it, it's performing well. I guess my eyesight is good enough to not find the text too small. The controls are as good/clunky as you'd expect for a game modelled on the original Fallout. However, there are a few glitches with it (but none that have impacted playability): - I'm getting frame rate stuttering whenever a fire/torch/flame is in view. - Some of the text in the inventory view isn't appearing on screen properly (to do with head armour by the look of it). It doesn't have any impact on playability at all but it seems that there's a few spots where adapting the interface to the dimensions of the FaceID phones needs a bit of polish. Summary: if you are looking for a high quality Fallout clone for your phone that is different enough for it to be unique but similar enough for it to just feel right, this appears to be it. JKT123 New Member Apr 27, 2014 3 2 3 #14 JKT123, May 30, 2020 A couple more glitches I've just remembered: - in the tutorial, I wasn't able to heal the patient with the MedKit; although I was close enough and could tap on him to select him, my character couldn't *see* him to apply the kit. - during my last session, i had to restart the game because I could no longer start conversations with other characters, either by double tapping on them or by long-tapping and selecting the conversation icon. The restart fixed it. Ijipop likes this.
