And gold is your score? ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #6 ste86uk, May 19, 2020 Wondering the same as above, anyone got a gameplay video? Sounds like you do runs to earn as much gold as possible to unlock new things to do better in future runs and I guess then chase high scores? But unsure how the actual gameplay works. Echoseven Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 19, 2011 6,091 270 83 The red Skittle #10 Echoseven, May 20, 2020 Yes! I wanted to give it a little extra time to see what the unlock progression is like. The gameplay is very much a high score chaser, where you move your character around The board to survive for as long as possible and gain as much loot as you can. Your gold is the score. You have to balance monsters which damage you, armour, health restoring food, and picking up loot. Fighting through multiple monsters in a row gives you bonus gold. You have to really plan a path through the tiles. There is a minimum number of steps you must take before new cards are drawn and it’s entirely possible to walk yourself into a corner, at which point you have to spend some health, pay out coins, or use an item card. These item cards, which appear as tiles on the board that you can pick up, you can use at any time and are tied into the progression of the game. You buy them with loot and not only will they turn up in your runs, buying a certain amount unlocks new characters to play as. I’m not too far into the game yet, but so far there haven’t been any dud cards and the one character I unlocked was quite different from the starting one, which is quite promising. The game isn’t hugely deep, but that’s not a criticism. It’s focused, not overly demanding, and so far quite fun. Which obviously doesn’t make me worry about wanting extra content etc given it’s price point. But if there are any bugs or issues it’s released with or that spring up with any iOS updates that may happen in the near future. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #13 vectorarchitekt, May 21, 2020 The developer is very active on Twitter and is marketing this game as heavily as he can. I had Mind Cards for awhile, and no updates were needed. I think you’re safe. Buy it! It’s really fun. ste86uk likes this. I’m very happy with my purchase and it plays great. The gameplay is simple but tactical and fun plus with all these new cards to purchase and unlock it’ll only get even more so! Plus new characters to unlock. I mean I always wish there was more to unlock but with 32 new cards to unlock, 4 new characters and 26 achievements that seems like a lot of gameplay for your 99p! Plus I don’t care for high score chasers which I don’t consider this to be but for those of you that are competitive the amount of gold you earn per run is your high score which it keeps a record of. Not sure if it has actual leaderboards? But completely unnecessary anyway. Finally the only slight gripe so far is that it isn’t full screen on my iPhone X and could do with dropping down ever so slightly for the notch but thats just me being ocd as it barely clips it with the odd thing. Do yourself a favour and buy this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password? Stay logged in
