Could you tell us what OS and device you’re playing on? Also, thanks for the nice summary above, can I quote you in our press kit? Echoseven Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 19, 2011 6,091 270 83 The red Skittle #8 Echoseven, May 22, 2020 Please do! Though I would prefer it if you credit Vladimir Knight (that’s me)! I’m playing on an iPhone 8, iOS 13.4.1. It’s still only happened twice, and I’ve played... a lot. It’s rough because restarting the app does not save your progress - you have to start over. I wish it remembered. Actually, would you also be able to save the sound and music toggles between relaunching the game? I often mute the music and it starts playing again if I quit the game and come back to it. soniclife Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2009 63 3 8 Hamburg #9 soniclife, May 22, 2020 I am really impressed! The last time I had a similar impression of a game was with Threes and Card Thief which both belong to my all time favs. The mechanics are not super original but they fit perfect with the skyscraper theme and the elegant design. The IAP is more than fair and I‘ve spent the one Euro immediately. My personal wishes for an update: - A local Highscore-Table - I want to know whether my last attempt was in my own Top 10... - An optional dark mode (background) and maybe different color palette options. - A battery saver mode. It seems to be the battery is draining kinda fast... - An undo option (maybe just one time per x moves). But besides these minor issues: highly recommended! fgrolig likes this. I keep coming back to this one. Here’s my high score so far: One thing I’d like to see added would be a save state feature so I could leave the app and come back to it later without having to restart. I like the suggestions from @soniclife too. Overall it isn’t really my kind of game being a high score chaser as I don’t really care to chase high scores. But the game has something, it’s such a simple idea which turns very tactical and I do enjoy puzzle games. So I’ll give it a few more tries. Towers will take blocks from those around it, enough to grow, regardless of how those around it are placed. So for a tower of 3 to grow, you could have next to it: - Another 3 - A 2 and a 1 - Three 1s This applies to all heights and even if the block you need is on top of another colour (I.e. a green tower will take a green block even if that block is on top of a red one). You get more points for chains - placing a block so that a 1 merges into a 2, which then merged into a 3, which then merges into a 5 will get you more points than merging the 5 directly. My deletion priority (every 500 points): - Towers directly in the way. - Towers that are far away from its colour cluster - Tall towers, 7+, especially if there isn’t a colour cluster nearby. I’m hovering around 9k points on average and I’m keen to break 10. I think I could reach 15 without major strategy adjustments and a little luck. What strategies do you guys use? There’s always just a little more to discover, lots of tiny, simple and meaningful ways tweak to your strategy. I realised just now that I’ve been fundamentally playing the game wrong. Just straight up making bad decisions. With one tiny tweak, I set a personal high score without breaking a sweat. If I hadn’t mis-tapped a few times, I could’ve gone much further. Which is entirely unhelpful. There were a few occasions where I thought the wrong block was placed, but when I go back through the recording it absolutely looks like the right one.
