Pretty good but not much story, no tutorial and a bit rough overall. You just talk to someone at a portal, get a quest, go through the portal to the area where the quest is. Lots of skills to upgrade (though that also is never addressed either). One thing I can’t seem to find is a way to compare equipment, which is a bit of a pain. Though it could use more guidance with the interface and upgrade systems, it’s a still a fun game. The recent Anima RPG seems a bit more polished, but I’ll play this more and see if it grows on me. I am enjoying it despite the rough edges. Lull4by likes this. Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #6 Repulsa, May 5, 2020 What?! This looks like Diablo! I’ve been looking for that style of game recently <3 insta bought! stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #7 stubbieoz, May 5, 2020 I did some searching on the net about this. Apparently it’s been out for a while as an android game. Looks like the iap’s have been removed now. Comments are generally positive though it appears the game is in beta. Don’t know if this is a final release version or still a beta. I also have Anima on iOS, which is a damn fine Diablo like game, so this has big shoes to fill if it’s trying to go for that style of game. Only one way to find out....... looks like an expensive iOS week for me. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #8 stubbieoz, May 6, 2020 Last edited: May 6, 2020 After an hours play; First off, this still feels like a beta game. There are bugs and annoyances. The first thing you do is create a character, though “create” is rather deceiving. You get to choose between a male or female and make up a name. That’s it. You can't even change their looks. The graphics in the main are pretty decent, though so far it’s a pretty dark affair. Your character looks out of place. While the rest of the game has well animated enemies your avatar looks like it should be in a cartoon. Adding armour has no effect on the look of your avatar. There is a virtual joystick to move but oddly enough you can also tap to move. Both systems are enabled with no way to choose one or the other. The options settings are for language and audio sliders, only. Thats all. No changing the size or position of the interface icons.... nothing. The interface is simply too cluttered as you can see in screenshots. There is a ? icon at the bottom middle of the screen. All it does is brings up a screenshot of the game with a couple of explanations of what various interface icons do. But thats all it does. You will read it once and never need it again.... but it just sits there adding to the clutter. You have to double tap on a button to pick up stuff. No auto pickup. Another unnecessary icon to add to the clutter. The top button on the right hand side is there purely to add skills/items to the other buttons. You tap it to allow you to add them and then tap it to not add. Other games would let you choose the skill/item from your inventory and then link them to a button. So this add button also just adds to the clutter. Your character will simply stop attacking mid combat sometimes and the only way to start him attacking is to move him a step or so. Swinging a weapons makes a contact sound even if you are not hitting anything. So sometimes you don’t even know if you are hitting an enemy or not. You do get a visual sign with health numbers rising up from the enemy but if you have a summoned creature you don’t know if it is them hitting the enemy or you. Drops are purely from kills. No chests, no smashing barrels, the only thing you can hit are enemies. So far loot from drops consists of armour, gold and ingredients for crafting. No weapons. There is no storage chest. No way to exchange gear with an other character you make. There appears to be no ingame pause that I can find. While you check out your inventory or put points into skills etc, the game keeps running and you can get attacked or killed if you don’t react quick enough. Levelling up gives you 5 points to spread amongst both your skills and abilities. You get 2 points every level up to add to your attributes such as strength, dexterity, etc. If you exit the game mid dungeon it will save all your experience and drops, but you have to restart the dungeon from the beginning. You get a horse from the beginning that you can use for quicker back tracking in a dungeon. You cannot fight while on the horse though. Look the game has promise. There are some real rough edges but nothing that a couple of patches wouldn't fix. Though why they are there is a mystery as the game has been on android for some time I believe. Compared to Anima this just doesn’t cut it, though for the price I guess it’s not too bad. Oh, and on a large iPad Pro with the Home Bar, it covers the XP bar at the bottom of the screen. houseofg and Lull4by like this. The menus and stuff leave a bit to be desired. Anima is way more polished. But there seems to be a bit more environment and enemy variety so far here. Also a ton of skills. Aerion Well-Known Member May 14, 2014 51 8 8 #11 Aerion, May 7, 2020 I agree with most things said sofar, everything is spot on. A few things: The ? leads not only to one, but 3 screenshots, you can scroll down, with a little more explanations regarding inv + stats. More information can be found on the website. Character customization is a joke really. I can‘t believe this ugly guy on the char selection screen should be me. I hope this isn’t the dev. Should have taken the girl really. Bleh. While I miss visible armor sets, I am glad that at least all legendary weapons and shields are correctly rendered, and it looks like some later armor sets including wings and mounts are, too. What surprises me is the huge number of armor sets and legendary stuff sofar. That‘s nice indeed. Drop rates are quite high. I like this game, there is huge potential. Looking forward to seeing middle and late game, there should be tons of content already. edit: Game needs an item transfer chest!!! stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #12 stubbieoz, May 7, 2020 Oh, nice catch. I totally missed that. Still though after a couple of looks that icon becomes redundant. Aerion Well-Known Member May 14, 2014 51 8 8 #13 Aerion, May 8, 2020 Yes, it is still redundant, but at least we know what stats do. I found out earlier today that there are costumes/skins. The main protagonist still does not fit to the rest of the game somehow, strangely. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #14 stubbieoz, May 8, 2020 Where did you find these costumes/skins? Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #17 Repulsa, May 26, 2020 New update out! Question: why isn’t there a storage chest?
