Choose your champion and pick your path to power: a single-player roguelite romp through the world of League of Legends and Arcane, or a ranked card battler where strategy reigns supreme. Unlock and level up dozens of characters in a hand-crafted love letter to fans of hero collectors and card games alike. THE STORY SO FAR From the back alleys of Zaun to celestial Mt. Targon, forces small and large threaten to forever shift the balance of power—if not unravel the world itself! Star-forging dragon Aurelion Sol plots his cataclysmic revenge, while Lissandra, an even greater menace, lurks in the frozen north. Only champions of Runeterra can follow the path that has been set—alone or as one—with YOU at the helm. CHOOSE YOUR CHAMPION Play as Jinx, Warwick, Caitlyn, Vi, Ambessa, or any of a growing cast of 65+ champions. The many legends of League are yours to collect, evolve, and master as you traverse the map of Runeterra. Each champion brings unique, awe-inspiring powers and loyal followers to the fray. Whether you freeze your opponents where they stand (Ashe), plant fungal surprises for sneaky victories (Teemo), build an elaborate combo engine for a spectacular finish (Heimerdinger), no two champions play the same. ADAPT & EVOLVE Every run is a canvas for your creativity, offering new cards, powers, and relics to augment your strategy and topple menacing foes. But choose wisely! Challenges increase in difficulty over the course of a run, and from one World Adventure to the next. Each champion can be upgraded with Star Powers—permanent augments you can unlock between runs. Completing a champion’s Constellation yields immense power—and all new strategies—for you to command. TOPPLE MIGHTY FOES Test your mettle against iconic villains in World Adventures and Weekly Nightmares that set the stage for your spectacular displays of strategy and skill. Beating the odds against the likes of Lissandra and Aurelion Sol will take experimentation, ingenuity, and maybe a touch of luck. Of course, the tougher the opponent, the sweeter the victory—and the richer the rewards! UNCOVER NEW LEGENDS Delve into the deep lore and rich, ever-expanding universe treasured by players of League of Legends and fans of the Emmy-winning series Arcane. With exclusive characters, story-driven adventures, breathtaking card art, and a staggering cast of new and familiar faces, there’s no better way to experience the breadth and depth of Runeterra. At first I thought oh is this another hearthstone but I played longer and it actually seems really solid and like a very good CCG although I’m still early days and have yet to see how monetisation or anything else affects the gameplay. But if you like CCG games this definitely seems worth checking out, feels pretty polished and fun to play. Excellent action, tons and tons of loots, upgrades and stuff, chests, mini-missions during the battle royale, excellent performance-no hiccups or bouncing around, just good times. geoelectric Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2010 464 22 18 San Jose, CA #7 geoelectric, May 1, 2020 Last edited: May 2, 2020 Riot apparently did some account overhaul and put a bunch of NA accounts in China by mistake. You get an error about not being able to determine region, actually means they think you're somewhere it hasn't launched or that the account region is conflicting with the IP lookup, not sure which. Edit: below was true when I posted, but after a day of silence I got a note today saying they figured it out and blessed me as NA. I haven’t tried the game yet. I went back and forth with their tech support about it, didn't get a satisfactory result even though you could simply look me up by name on LinkedIn and go from there or something. They still say they can't figure out where I am (San Jose, yo. Right here. Only person by my name in America, per those things that tell you that.) It's pretty lame and I'm pretty turned off. Was hoping to get on ground floor, but my appetite for BS before ever playing the game, and entrusting a card library when I hit a zero-day glitch like this--pretty low. subgenius Well-Known Member May 30, 2014 149 34 28 #8 subgenius, May 4, 2020 I downloaded it anyway on launch day despite the poor trailer, and I'm very, very happy I did. This is exactly the MtG-lite type of game I've been searching for, and Riot does an absolutely fantastic job of managing F2P in a fair and engaging way. By the end of the first week, I already have a solid deck that I can win matches with, and there are tons of interesting and fairly complex interactions to keep games interesting. The growth curve on getting new cards is also very generous. I also particularly like the back and forth play mechanic. You aren't sitting waiting minutes for your opponent to plan out and execute their entire turn since casting/summoning/attacking is handed back and forth action by action, but the way the attack ownership shifts round by round still ensures that you have the shifts in momentum that MtG would bring. I'm incredibly impressed thus far, and am looking forward to spending more time with this game. Highly recommended. ste86uk likes this. Definitely try try this out. ste86uk likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password?
