I don’t know if it’s the 4v1 concept or something else, but these kind of games are eventually doomed. I mean, Turtle Rock’s Evolve? Similar concept, the same fate. And it was from the creators of L4D2, so how is that even possible, right? Anyway, I’m really curious how’s this game. Especially on iOS. Completely different target audience, so it could work I guess. But it’s F2P so I’m not trying it first. I’m waiting for some impressions. Especially on monetizing. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #3 metalcasket, Apr 16, 2020 I wish someone would just be like “Oh hey, let’s take a chance and just port our game over to mobile exactly like it is on console, at the exact same price, and see how this does”. It’s not like Dead by Daylight on consoles is just $20. It’s $20 plus DLC that’s in the $100 range. If it were just that $20 flat rate, I’d get it. It’s a risk. With DLC, you’re also getting in on the crowd who would just HAVE to own everything and won’t mind spending. As it is though, yeah, I’m not even downloading this at all. I didn’t bother with Call of Duty Mobile, and I won’t with this. *shrugs* L.Lawliet likes this. The amount of DLCs were ridiculous. The same for Evolve. They just ruined it by cosmetics and everything else. The reason I’m even considering this game is the cooperative multiplayer. I got the fondest memories for playing games with group of friends, talking tactics via microphones. It’s just priceless experience and I wish there was more of it on iOS as well. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #6 metalcasket, Apr 16, 2020 I really can live without it. More interesting than the usual MMO shooter. Edit 2: Game crashed on loading resulting in restart with all previous progress lost. Not impressed. I thought it was still doing pretty well. I admit I haven’t tried matching for awhile but people still talk about it. Evolve is another story. It flopped out of the gate and has been at perpetual sale prices ever since. The only two asymmetrics to seriously hit have been DbD and Friday the 13th, and between those DbD seems to have done far better. I have a hard time imagining how it could translate to mobile though. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #12 macplash, Apr 16, 2020 @geoelectric it's probably not as dead as Evolve-dead, but the player base shrank significantly over time. It was amongst the most streamed games on Twitch once. I didn't turn on my XBox for months, true, but I remember having difficulties to join the game right away and that waiting times annoyed me. But than again, I'm not too much into asymmetric multiplayer horror games anyway (L4D2 aside), so what do I know? That being said, this mobile port isn't for me anyway. I tried. Even if I get over its F2P model eventually (which I don't), it has no option to invert Y-axis, hence I can't play it at all. With 3 different currencies and IAPs ranging from $1 to $100, I deleted the game before I finished the tutorial. So, as I said, not for me. allsopj84 Active Member Jun 13, 2018 40 5 8 Male #13 allsopj84, Apr 16, 2020 Did anyone else experience laggy videos during the tutorial? The game runs flawless on my iPhone XS, however the videos during the tutorial started to lag quite badly and were not in time with the text. I ended up skipping the last one due to this issue. The game itself is frighteningly scary, been playing with my headphones on, nearly dropped my phone half a dozen times! Graphics and sounds are top notch. I haven’t played the console counterpart, so I can’t compare, the other great thing is despite my hate for F2P, this is very much like PUBG and COD, where the money is only needed to buy extra characters and clothing. Worth a go, I agree with others, I do wonder how long it will be popular for without additional game modes. Thing is, I'm already up to my neck in thousands of incredible premium purchases that I don't have time and/or the effort to get through, so I'm at a loss either way. I know there's literally nothing to lose but a few hours of downloading, but I'd never prioritize freemium games over my collection. gansta Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2011 152 8 18 #17 gansta, Oct 25, 2020 Anyone having issues loading the game on iOS 14?
