My previous run did not save. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #3 ShinHadoukin, Apr 17, 2020 Do you not accumulate coins? I have had several runs and have no coins. How do you accumulate coins to purchase characters? Rin Active Member May 1, 2012 30 17 8 https://www.facebook.com/TowerofFortune/ #4 Rin, Apr 17, 2020 Hi ShinHadoukin, Coin, XP and all journey progress will be saved at Stone Lamp. But if you die before you reach Stone Lamp (use hand icon to save journey), you will lost them. Make sure you visit it before your HP is too low. Rin Active Member May 1, 2012 30 17 8 https://www.facebook.com/TowerofFortune/ #5 Rin, Apr 17, 2020 Hi ShinHadoukin, Make sure you find the Stone Lamp on every floor first. It saved your coin and all journey progress. You can find the first one lamp near floor one merchant. You can also come to visit our Face Book "Tower of Fortune", we post a floor one map on it and there will be tips every few days. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #7 ShinHadoukin, Apr 17, 2020 Thank You!!!!! Solarclipse Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2012 879 64 28 #8 Solarclipse, Apr 17, 2020 This game has some great style, but there could be a better tutorial in the beginning. You will die, but you keep your map progress. I'm not sure if you keep your gold or not. For mobile, users really need to know that they have to save at a specific spot. Being forced to go to the stone lamp to save is a real turn off because sometimes thing in life happen and you need to do other things, and worrying about losing progress sucks. If The devs are really set on that feature however, please at least make the save points looks special on the map. In general, the maps are large and there are multiple levels—everything should be in the map legend really. I have one relic and i says level 0, so I'm guessing you can get them to higher levels. But do they persist though lives? I assume so. But still not sure if gold does. I am on a run where I have gotten a few levels and don't wish to die to find out. When you save and quit, you start the game off the same way as a new game—selectinf a character, and getting the tutorial arrows and descriptions all over again. I thought I lost all.ky progress and it didn't save at first. It would be great to have a continue option from the main menu instead. Ditto for when you do die and start over, I don't need the tutorial again and again. This has a lot of potential! Combat is fun, the mood is great as is the music. I'm not a fan of the food AND water limitations, but I'm willing to try it out. I wish the text was a little faster. You need to do a lot of searching because there are NO visual cues that something is hidden in a spot, you just have to assume any dead end has something and search. Seems like half of them do. There are some dead ends where "greedy adventurers" get assaulted every time you search. You can use those to keep fighting and get items to restock food and supplies, and gain some experience. Which is good given the food and drink limitations, but I am thinking I really need some of the relics to be able to explore. Which is why the map.legend, imho, should be more descriptive. Again aot of potential but a few things that could be tweaked to take his to another level. Rin and touchette like this. So far this feels like classic Game Stew: unique, lo-if game play that is deeper than it appears and where success requires a good mix of tactics, luck and a love for roguelike grinding. Good Stuff. Rin Active Member May 1, 2012 30 17 8 https://www.facebook.com/TowerofFortune/ #11 Rin, Apr 17, 2020 If you save and quit, then choose another character, you can back to the old character anytime and the progress is still there. All character shares gold but have their own save file. That means you can have 4 different game progress if you unlock all characters. touchette likes this. Maybe the first time you use the Stone Lamp? It took me several runs to find that thing and realize I could save my game. I think the first floor lamp should be switched with the merchant so you are forced to run into it. It’s just such a critical part of the game that isn’t explained. And my particular OCD dungeon crawling style (always keep left until I am at a repeat intersection) would have led to me basically never finding it. Grind XP, gold, crafting mats, food, torch and water without moving Attacks triggered by searches do not count as souls There are few dead ends, but check map whenever you see pale demon icon on map. Do not get cornered. Demon uses same corridors as you. He wanders straight with random changes at junctions, does no chase the player Keep a dummy ready and trigger immediately if you run into pale demon before it’s time to battle Keep one lamp stone ready for teleporting back to lamp, ideally one nearest to merchant when going deep, or if pale demon has you in a corner with no dummy to use BillyOceansBlues, Rin, Solarclipse and 1 other person like this.
