The main gameplay focuses on building paths from one point to another, while following the restrictions set by obstacles on the levels. There's also secret collectibles hidden throughout. We wanted to keep the mechanics fairly simple for our first game since game design is waaay harder than we expected. It's been a lot of work, not only on the game development side, but learning about setting up an LLC, getting an operating agreement, trademarks, promotional materials, and all sorts of stuff you'd rather not be doing so you can keep developing your game. I'm glad a lot of that is just in the beginning, so now we have more time to devote to our next project. We really would appreciate any feedback. My biggest concerns are if the game is fun, if the tutorial is clear, and if the ads are too annoying. I think the banner ad and the optional, rewarded ads are probably fine, but don't know if the one that drops every 5 levels is excessive. Definitely interested in everyone's opinions. Cheers! Sounds fair that it’s ad supported but that any IAP removes all ads especially since the cheapest one is 99p anyway. c0des likes this. The challenges are interesting without being too taxing, and the varying obstacles in levels are welcome. Tutorial is perfectly clear. The roulette wheel feels bogus. 6 to 1 chance of getting 500 points, but after over over 30 spins still no 500. Watch ads for extra spins but why do so for a rigged game. I was going to say that ads every 5 levels, in addition to the others, were excessive but then I downloaded the first game advertised and it’s a good one (Hako-Hako!) so that’s ok. c0des likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #4 ste86uk, Apr 12, 2020 The tutorial seems clear and fine to me, the ads don’t really bother me at all and one every 5 levels is fine but I haven’t noticed any banner ads on my game? Although with that said about ads that would not be my feeling on them if a purchase didn’t remove them. I’m only about 20 levels in and I do dislike the wheel after each game I pretty much always score very low and I’ll never watch an ad to get more of a reward. I would have just preferred a set reward after each level. I’ll check the game out further still but at the moment I can’t help comparing it to Via as the gameplay is similar to me but I do like Via more with its graphical style, polish and gameplay. But the game seems good so far and don’t let my comparison dishearten you at all. Especially if it’s a first game while learning all the things you were while making it. For me it’s probably vain but maybe purely my cosmetic pretences coming into play but everyone likes different things. c0des likes this. c0des Member Feb 18, 2020 11 5 3 Male #5 c0des, Apr 12, 2020 @Asp - Hey, thank you for the awesome feedback! I appreciate you giving my game a try. The wheel is a common concern at the moment from our players so we'll be addressing exactly that in our next update. @ste86uk Thank you for the kind words and critique on the wheel we are adjusting it in the upcoming update. We were already in the process of updating it but your comment makes a great point about the Spin Again not being interesting because it's so weighted. Btw, would you mind dming me a link to that Via game you mentioned? ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #6 ste86uk, Apr 12, 2020 I’ve @ you in the thread for the game which is also new. Honestly for me the best way a game is monetised lately is probably what you are doing where the game is free so more people will hopefully download it and try it and hen either a full game unlock via IAP or ad supported but all removed by an IAP. But the wheel feels like a freemium aspect that even if you paid to remove ads it’ll still be there when it feels like it shouldn’t be. But if the game remained free it probably wouldn’t be an issue but still feels a bit pointless to me. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
