Good job! I tried getting in contact with DANGEN over on the Twitters around 24 hours ago, to see if they had a link ready for the game, but alas, either something got lost in translation, or they deemed me unfit to bother replying to my DM. Well, for the game itself...seems like it's gonna be awesome, but there are some glaring faults right off the bat. 1) Needs screen rotation. It defaults with the notch to the right. 2) There's definitely something going on with notched devices. Like, one minute the game either plays in fullscreen (albeit somewhat janky) or has aesthetic borders (the latter I'm positive isa bug), the next minute it's got black borders. I don't know. I don't think it's that big of an issue, and it doesn't take anything away from the game, but it has to be addressed. Tip: Turn off the options to hide the d-pad and buttons. While it would be cool to hide the d-pad entirely, for example, it doesn't do that. When turned on, the option simply hides the d-pad until you tap on it. The constant hiding and showing up becomes extremely annoying when you're trying to navigate menus. Last thing: Extra points for a colorblind mode. Respect! L.Lawliet likes this. At first I thought it would be another 30$+ title haha metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #4 metalcasket, Mar 26, 2020 Well, everything pointed at this being a $15 title across all platforms. I was shocked to see it at $5 on iOS and absolutely didn’t hesitate to purchase it immediately. Worth mentioning that while the controls are anything but intuitive (also, let’s not kid ourselves, they can be downright ugly), they might be my favorite since Mage Gauntlet. There’s something so responsive, immediate and snappy to this d-pad that makes moving around feel so good. I expected some generic sprite art but it actually looks really good. Pretty rare on mobile. Edit: Looking on Steam it's made with RPG Maker but has very positive reviews. I think I'll go buy this even though I've been saving my money. Steam reviews won me over. Sounds like the only bad thing is the screen rotation. Ugh, notch on right is going to bug me so much. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #6 sakara214ever, Mar 26, 2020 Wow this looks... amazing? Can anyone confirm if it is full screen on iphone X? Still even if it is not i really like what i see so it will be almost impossible for me not to buy. Edit. I just read metalcasket's comment Gwarmaxx Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2010 4,446 376 83 NCC 1701 #7 Gwarmaxx, Mar 26, 2020 this game is WONDERFUL!!! about the controls, i don't get any issues, they're pretty good imo, my only complaint is about the screen rotation, i don't like to play with the home button on the left. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #8 anthony78, Mar 26, 2020 Last edited: Mar 26, 2020 Only complaint here is still the weird changes in how iPhone X screens are filled that was already mentioned. Hope it gets fixed. Otherwise game is great (from the little I’ve played so far)! So, I've been in contact with the developers and some fixes will be incoming at some point. Presumably screen rotation, a graphical fix (which will leave the game with black borders...anyone wondering why not fullscreen instead just needs to see what's happening behind those borders in this current version) and the removal of the fullscreen and resolution options, as well as the Quit prompt on the main menu (which are remnants of the PC version). They're also considering giving us the option to change the highlight color, which would be a blessing since I can't see shit when selecting stuff. I don't remember the last time I've come across such responsive developers. Just fantastic stuff all around. There are some parts that are full screen on iPhone X with no graphical issues so hope they can support it. Otherwise maybe I won’t update. It looks gorgeous during those parts so don’t want black bars destroying that. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #17 metalcasket, Mar 28, 2020 The only way this could realistically be fullscreen (without having been built for the platform) would be in a stretched mode, and believe me, nobody wants that. I don't know anything about the technical terms used in game development, but it's clear when there's nothing in the background (when you're in a cavern, for example) and the surroundings are black, things are fine. As soon as there's a layer of clouds, for example, the innards of the game are out for everyone to see, and it all goes to shit. We're not meant to see this stuff at all. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #18 anthony78, Mar 28, 2020 It ALREADY Is full screen in many parts like some of the caves. And looks great and not stretched. So I just won’t update. I hate black bars (especially in JRPGs like this) and wouldn’t have bought this if I had known it wasn’t supposed to be. So I will play it as is and enjoy a non-stretched full screen with an occasional graphical issue. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #19 metalcasket, Mar 28, 2020 Refer to the above edited post please, and with all due respect, the App Store screenshots have borders.
