Mine downloaded just before work and I just went to try but it’s under maintenance. Although I know nothing about this game but it’s free so I figured I’d take a look anyway.
The game should be available to play tomorrow. It’s common practice, from my experience, for online games to release a day or two early before the servers get up and running. Definitely looking forward to this. I enjoyed The Alchemist Code and from what I’ve been reading this game is kinda the spiritual successor (a sharpened and more refined Alchemist from the same devs I believe) which is funny since I always thought Alchemist Code “was a pretty solid f2p Final Fantasy Tactics like game “. With the Brave Exvius and Final Fantasy names they will have a lot more eyes on the project and I hope they’re successful.
Yeah sorry guys. I saw it had downloaded but was in a rush to work so I just posted the thread. Should have figured the servers might not be live yet. However, I guess anyone who has not already can probably still take advantage of the preregistration bonus here: https://prereg.wotvffbe.com/
Need at least IOS 12 and 13.4 update just came out which is a battery drinker and has other issues. May have to wait till a better update comes out which will be sometime.
I downloaded it to take a look but it’s been deleted now. I really don’t want another game like Raid where it’s just an endless grind wanting you to spend money to get better heroes and power them up....it’s all these games ever are just endless grind wheels that aren’t even that much fun either but you get addicted because of the grind and want to be the best but in the end it starts feeling like work instead of fun if there ever was any to begin with.
Following you around the threads for all the new releases has made my day so much more efficient since we seem to have the exact same preferences!
Eh, so far it is an Alchemist Code reskin in the FF mythos (complete with real money-only gacha pulls alongside with the “free premium currency”) Of course -like most FF fans - the music and chocobos got me to put it in daily rotation. Will keep it around until the FFTactics collab (my reason for the download in the first place ) whereupon i will either drop it entirely or go on enjoying with Ramza and Orlandu - until i cant level them up anymore because of course you need 5* dupes to take anyone past level 30... sigh Gumi
The double premium currency is something I don’t care for although as long as there isn’t a hard paywall with the single player content I can live with it. With these type of games I never feel the need to compete, reroll, or complete a roster. From what I’ve been reading on the WotV Reddit there are a bunch of small gameplay changes and a couple QoL changes from Alchemist but it’s still very much it’s twin. I’ve played a bit of Alchemist Code but not nearly enough to know all of the differences. The visual style of WotV is, in my opinion, much better than the former. I really like the muted color palette and the visuals come off much more “regal.” Overall I thought Alchemist was a good Tactics like game, with deeper gameplay than most gacha games, that I couldn’t fully get into. Alchemist with the Final Fantasy mythos and look will probably keep me entertained for awhile.
Kitone looks awesome. I definitely hope to get her down the road. Didn’t have much luck grabbing the two FFT characters but I did pull Ayaka a while back and I’m in the same situation trying to limit break.
