Although I’m not sure about the controls with those screenshots showing the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Also just wondering if anyone that’s played is this one continuous game? So when you die you come back and do something different or try something different but do you keep everything you’ve found and done so far? Or do you reset completely and start from scratch. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #4 anthony78, Mar 23, 2020 In the US, it’s the same price. $3.99 on Steam and the App Store. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #5 metalcasket, Mar 23, 2020 Yeah, I bought it for $4 on the Lebanese App Store and that’s the price it’s at on Steam. If a sale does end up happening on iOS any time in the next few hours, I'm going to avoid buying anything on launch day from here on out AND perhaps I'll even request a refund. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #9 macplash, Mar 23, 2020 LOL. Oh come on, this is like the funniest game ever! Especially those opening scenes and descriptions after each death. Not to mention the main character is always changed in some way after that. This is hilarious. Now I'm just looking for different ways to screw things up and die to see what's next. I just checked and the game's been released on Android for 2,99€ just a month ago (February 14th according to version history) and it went on sale due to coronavirus on February 27th! (announcement on Pixelatto's Twitter page). So the iOS sale is definitely a possibility in the course of next days. Worst case scenario? If that happens, we can just cancel the purchase during 14-day period and buy it again on sale right after. Although, under these circumstances, it'd be much more appreciated if the game had a launch discount on iOS in the first place. ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #10 ste86uk, Mar 23, 2020 @macplash how are the controls? macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #11 macplash, Mar 23, 2020 Controls are spot on. Responsive, acceptable size. They take approx. the lower third of the whole screen. They're not adjustable in size, but you can move buttons closer together (or further away). Even though the controls are taking a significant part of the screen for themselves, it's not a bad thing. The game's pretty minimalistic. The pixel art is hilarious and especially animations are pretty amazing. But most importantly the gameplay is fantastic. I'm collecting different "deaths" to my gallery - so far I'm at 18/100. Each one is funnier than the previous one. Some are inevitable so you can progress further. Some are just plain stupid and pointless. Just for the fun of it. If you're on the fence, there's no reason to be. Except for the situation about the price considering the other platforms. So, it's up to you. I mean, it's easily worth 4 bucks, don't get me wrong, but since there's a very strong possibility you can save $3 maybe even tomorrow, it's a thinker. ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #12 ste86uk, Mar 23, 2020 Thank you that helps and yes partly on the price with the lower price and sale on other platforms thinking it might hit iOS soon otherwise I’d just buy it now but I have so much to play anyway I can wait a day or two see if it does happen. The other part was just not understanding the purpose of the game, just to explore, die and learn from that in order to get further the next time or explore somewhere different the next time? Which still looks and sounds fun if it is that. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #13 macplash, Mar 23, 2020 Pretty much, yeah. As I already wrote, some deaths (or endings to be more specific) are inevitable and you can't repeat them because the person or object isn't there anymore. And then there are those stupid ones like you jump somewhere or trip over something and you just learn from that so you can avoid making the same mistake in the next run. I assume the game has some proper - final ending. But I'm sure I'm nowhere close to it. Also there's a lot strategy involved. Like, with each item you find your weight increase so you can't jump as high as in the beginning. So you need to make choices. If you know you're going to need bombs to blow something up and you know it's located somewhere high where you need to be able to jump, you won't pick up shovel and/or shield this time so you can reach that height. So much for the purpose of the game. ste86uk likes this. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #14 metalcasket, Mar 23, 2020 No, really, the biggest disservice to this game would be putting it on sale any time soon.
