It starts in a tiny window for me. I can maximize the window but there is quite a bit of aliasing with huge black bars on top and bottom, almost as though this wasn't meant to be displayed on 12.9" iPad. curthayman likes this. The graphics are meh. So many games of this type out there right now which are superior. I do not get all the fuss with this one. Not impressed. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #6 ste86uk, Mar 19, 2020 I downloaded it to try but with these comments now I’m not holding up any hope. With what was said about it before launch I’d of expected it to be polished and put together very well. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #7 Rocksaint, Mar 19, 2020 Don’t get me wrong. It does have the Riot Games polish and production values. (If you’ve played Legends of Runeterra, then you’d know - it’s quite similar) I am personally just worn-out with these gazillion autochess games and this does not bring anything new to the table. Moreover, compared to the ones already out there, this is severely lacking in features and game modes. Would probably need a true Riot Games (LoL) and autochess fan to stick with this. (And this all is coming from an old-school LoL addict) ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #8 ste86uk, Mar 19, 2020 I thought the file size was too small, first I had to google which region the counted the U.K. in since I’ve never played their games and then it pops up wanting a 500mb download...why couldn’t the app just be that big? I don’t like that it isn’t even full screen on the iPhone X either and I’m not a big fan of these auto chess games I don’t get why they are such a big thing but I still try them incase one day one just clicks with me. But I’ll have to wait until I’m on WiFi again now to try this one. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #9 Talbs, Mar 21, 2020 It’s more or less the same as the others, with a few minor twists as they all seem to do, so gameplay itself comes down to a selection of very minor preferences. game modes are limited. Only multiplayer online. There’s no Bot matches and no turbo mode (“knockout” if playing Underlords). Two of the biggest boons for Underlords on mobile IMO. playing a full online match takes a fair bit of commitment to time for a mobile device. What I did notice however is if you back out of the app and then come back perhaps in a few minutes, you will re-join your online match as if you never left. It just progresses. Not sure if an AI plays for you though or you just make no progress. Didn’t test that. visuals are not that crisp and makes telling hero’s apart less easy without being super familiar with the game. Underlords I find to have much better distinguishable visuals. Underlords for instance IMO uses better icon indicators for the hero traits. They’re colourful and instantly distinguishable, where as TFT uses words (names) and the icons are greyscale/no colour, simple icons. due to the above I’ll be sticking with Underlords for now, though if you’ve always been a TFT fan then this is definitely serviceable, it could just do with more game modes. Hopefully they provide updates for Bot matches and turbo mode to make this game a little more attractive. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #10 ste86uk, Mar 21, 2020 Yeh I tried it and deleted it pretty quickly, not worth my time at all to me. But then I don’t even like Underlords either and this seems much worse. frizz91 New Member Nov 27, 2021 1 0 1 Male #11 frizz91, Nov 27, 2021 Last edited by a moderator: Nov 27, 2021 If we talk about combinations in TFT, then they are constantly changing.
