GFG Active Member Oct 17, 2014 31 6 8 #8 GFG, Mar 13, 2020 @Makara Nou Cheers I might work on an iPhone release in the future but at the moment it's not really possible with this current build of the game. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #9 macplash, Mar 13, 2020 I - on the other hand - am glad there's some love for iPad users shown first. It's almost always the other way around. So, just this once, can you suck it up and let us have it so we can enjoy the moment? It's not aimed specifically at those who asked already. It's mostly for those that are going to. Not counting ports like Book of Demons or Company of Heroes, this is like the first iPad only newcomer this year. So, yeah. GFG and Makara Nou like this. Fingers crossed. Anyway. I promised I’ll be back with some impressions later today, so here I am. Let me get something clear right from the beginning: this game is awesome! And I love pretty much everything about it. I mean, it’s as close to real ZX Spectrum experience as it could possibly be. I wish the loading screen took longer. Hell, if it was me, I’d made it 5 minutes long as a real thing back in the days when loading from cassettes. With option to skip it, of course. But just for the fun out of it. I could listen to that squeaky sound for quite some time before it’d get boring or annoying. The level design is top-notch! You totally nailed it. The transitions between screens, the necessity to explore and jump to the adjacent screen, hard to reach areas - everything’s just flawless. Enemies - their design and animations - it’s like the old days. It’s just hard to describe how fantastic it is. So nostalgic. And the music and sound fx, oh my god! It’s like listening to the real thing. I still have my old computers somewhere in the garage. They’re broken, none of them is working anymore, it’s like 30-35 years since, but I swear if I load up a game, it’d sound the same. You just did an awesome job! My only nitpick goes to directional arrows. It’s just a little bit hard to reach that right button with my short thumb. I wish there was an option to rearrange the buttons for my own taste. I imagine it’s going to be real difficult to reach it on big ass 12,9” pro. I mean, so far I can manage, but it’s a long reach. It’s not entirely comfortable and relaxing. Will you think about it? For anyone growing up during ZX Spectrum era this is gonna be a nostalgic trip. If you an iPad owner, this is a must-have title. For a younger audience I suggest to go for it as well. To get a taste what real gaming did look like back then. If I had an option to use original kempston joystick , I’d be in heaven. Thank you for this game, you just made my day. Hope it lasts for hours! Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #13 Royce, Mar 13, 2020 This except I would like to be able to shrink them horizontally. I also wish I could decrease the volume of the sound effects (jump really) relative to the music. The game is a real gem though. macplash likes this. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #14 macplash, Mar 13, 2020 OMG! OMG! OMG! Hope you’re having great sales. You sure deserve it! And thanks for looking at controls adjustments. I wanted to ask though, what those different icons represent? (See attached image below) Am I missing something and should I replay certain levels to make them all the same? There was an info pop up about it at the start of the game but i don't think it was very clear. I will look into adding an information tab players can access at any time, to find out what each icon means. By the way, I see you're going for a 100% playthrough, that's cool to see macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #19 macplash, Mar 13, 2020 Oh, makes perfect sense now. Thanks for clarifying! Well, yes! I always do. I’m not moving further unless everything’s 3 starred or 100% completed. Sometimes it’s restrictive, but that’s just how I’m wired. Can’t do much about it. Luckily, your game is very relaxing and enjoyable. I already completed first 3 solar systems. Halfway through fourth. And I’m loving every minute of it. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #20 anthony78, Mar 13, 2020 Sounds like a game I would love if it ever makes its way to iPhone.
