The infection has taken over and it looks unstoppable. Every city is infested with the undead, but Don, a former Colonel, will not give up until he clears every last bit of the zombie menace... Most mobile zombie shooters are in 3D, look complex and heavy. We wanted to drop the complexity while focusing on the shooting. Used 2D to simplify the gameplay, added intuitive controls and gave the player the best survival arsenal of guns, explosives, traps, and vehicles. The arsenal can be upgraded throughout the single-player campaign, players can test their skills in the Arena, unlock special boosters, win rewards in the Challenge levels... and all this for a single purpose - to make a last stand against the horde! - Hunt down the zombies in over 100 levels - Over 25 different weapons, explosives, traps, and vehicles will help you eradicate the infection - Participate in the arena to see how long you can last - Visit all locations on the map to unlock special boosters - Make upgrades, earn gold and kill even bigger hordes of undead - Use high tech military gear like the handheld Railgun or the bipedal Walker iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/don-zombie/id1366298574?ls=1 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nosixfive.undead Our website: https://nosixfive.com/ McDeathUK Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Feb 18, 2015 94 38 18 #2 McDeathUK, Mar 10, 2020 Last edited: Mar 10, 2020 Saw, liked Installed, liked Completed day 1, saw it had the stupid chest slots / takes time to unlock mechanic that infested the early version of Elder Scrolls Blades (they removed it) and I suspect uninstallation will be later today when I see how it is implemented. I will pay to remove ads, I will pay for new content, I will play premium, I will even pay a subscription if something is good enough. Pay to hurry up a chest open time, no thanks. Will post update later Game is simple, looks and sounds good. Not sure how deep it will be with left right fire and grenade. You can aim the wepaon or just tap to kill the nearest enemy Update : Uses the typical collect x of a type, and use them to upgrade (3 pistols for a level up on pistol), you can use game common currency up upgrade or watch a video (which is nice tbh) not sure if this persists. Common chest (you get one per level complete) takes 2 hours to open, 20 gems to speed up.. you get one gem in a chest, a good handful of gear and obtain one per complete level.. ie NOT worth paying. You start off with two chest slots. So you will be losing more chests than opening Update 2 : You have 2 chest slots, upgradable to 4, and one chest slot for collection which (assumed) is overridden. So if you get a rare chest and your slots are full you risk losing the chest (again this is assumed, maybe best chest is kept). you CAN use videos to speed up and open a chest. One video = 1 hour saved, but you cannot cancel a chest being opened.. there also appears to be NO limit on videos you can watch.. and you can watch videos to double rewards, upgrade, speed up chests update 3 : you can only use videos to get free upgrades for a few early levels it appears then it switches to the game currency (not premium) Update 4 : it appears you can replay any level you want, as many times as you want and get full rewards so premium currency can be in steady supply albeit slow collection. There Is a constant stream of freebies. Maxime0683 likes this. doink123 Well-Known Member Jan 8, 2010 180 12 18 #3 doink123, Mar 11, 2020 Thanks for the review! Yes, the temp chest slot gets overridden if you don't assign the chest. So... did you like the game? BTW, after Act 3 the chests become Tier 2 and will give you more items. Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,082 474 83 Male Employed Earth #4 Jstorm, Mar 11, 2020 I played the game up to day 33. I liked your game. The shooting felt satisfying, had quite a number of enemy variations, and the difficulty felt fair without iAPs(at the least up to day 33). But I ended up uninstalling it. I just couldn’t stand with the combination of lootbox and the amount of ad videos. Waiting 2-3 minutes in between each mission really killed the pace, and the contents in loot boxes weren’t appealing enough to make me purchase gems. I really hope you made this game a premium. I would happily paid $6 for the game, or $3 for remove all ads option. McDeathUK Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Feb 18, 2015 94 38 18 #5 McDeathUK, Mar 11, 2020 I have to concur. The game is VERY generous with free currency and stuff (well done dev) but honestly I can’t watch the ads any more. Even if I pay a little for the game, I will still ON PRINCIPAL get my freebies and this will drive me away from the game. I would prefer a ‘vip pass’ which would be a small payment (one off, monthly, annual - do the math based on potential revenue) that will give you the same rewards exactly but with no need to watch the videos. oh also, cloud saving required. BUT it’s a good game that keeps adding a little more variety as you progress McDeathUK Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Feb 18, 2015 94 38 18 #6 McDeathUK, Mar 13, 2020 Last edited: Mar 13, 2020 This game is great fun, very distinct look (reminds me of a colourful Limbo) and sound and gets more fun as you progress. Constant freebies mean that you do not need to pay if you don't want to, and there is an almost unlimited use of the 'watch a video' mechanic to speed up upgrades, earn currency, double rewards, get extra rewards. It's really simple to play with two distinct play styles so far - left / right + fire + grenade for on foot / walker sections - jump and fire for truck driving sections (tougher that it sounds) You can choose boosters (collectable rewards) such as armor / speed up / robot turret, nn Foot areas have usable weapons such as hanging motolov's, canisters, massive claws which are triggered by shooting them. Everything is upgradable, weapons, boosters, vehicles with lots of weapons to choose with their own distinct feel and animations. No story, just lots of death and destruction Cons / Suggestions - Watching videos becomes soul destroying, but knowing you get extras makes them hard to skip. I would prefer a 'vip package' which would remove ALL ads WITHOUT losing any rewards. I don't know how many impressions you need these days for money but an option to pay each month / one off to open chests automatically, no need to watch a video for free currency etc would go a long way - Very upgrade dependant - when you are facing a mass of zombies, there are no tactics, you just need good weapons. - No cloud savings - I prefer to play on ipad but now I am stuck with my progress on iphone unless I restart - Chest opening mechanic similar to Elder Scrolls blades. 2 hours for a common chest, 4 hours epic and so on, up to 16 for a legendary. You CAN watch a 20-30 second video to shave an hour off the time, and there is NO is no apparent limit to how many videos, though you can’t just watch back to back for epics and legendary - Aim mechanic is simple, but not very intuitive. Tap to shoot nearest enemy or 'drag' to aim when you want to shoot area weapons. - Reload button would be nice, its automatic right now - Flame thrower needs a rework, it's useless as it has no stopping power (or maybe I just have not found a good level for it to use on) - throwable can only be tossed in direction faced. Would be nice to swipe Grenade button in direction of toss for more control Pros - No need to pay for IAP, free currency is plentiful and generous - LOTS to do, fairly big campaign, challenges (fixed weapon encounters) and arena (top end gear required) - Looks and sounds awesome - Lots of bad guys, really well animated. - Feels 'destructive', when you have a robot turrets its like a scene from the armageddon with explosions and bodies flying everywhere. - Basic boss tactics give some skill elements Tips - Don't be afraid to run PAST monsters (inc bosses when their arms are up ready to pummell), not all damage on contact - Use up your bullets at quiet stages to force the reload - Save your power-ups for the boss stages - Wait until you have the robot turret before attempting Arena - You can replay ANY campaign section as many times as your want for money and gems and chests, stock up your chest slots before quitting the game I will be buying a bundle of IAP, not because I need them, but because a game that has kept me entertained for 3 days now gets money, it my golden rule, and I will be pushing to the end. So summary : install and have fun,. but make sure its on your primary gaming device until Cloud saving is (hopefully) added ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #7 ste86uk, Mar 13, 2020 I do hate watching videos whenever a game pushes them on me I usually end up quitting because I have to watch them or feel like I’m missing out because others get more than me by watching them rather than playing. Other than that I’ve only played a few levels so far so I can’t give an opinion like the one above. But just want to ask can’t we aim the grenade? I don’t like that it just throws it at an auto target. In Enemy Territory you have to venture deep within the zombies' den. Every step counts. This is a daily event. At the end of the day the best players would receive rewards.
