You will be surprised for a FTP game how much this feels like a real DQ game! The attacks are auto but as the battle wages your gauges for magic/specials etc will fill up and you manually choose which you want to execute whether it be heal,sizzle etc or even defend. You can also combo together with your party to make a huge attack by using everyone’s special together. Your specials will be based on your job and also what weapons you have equipped that type of thing. You do control a party of characters not just one. As someone who cannot stand auto battle or clickers I can say this it is not that this is a legit battle system once you understand it and it works great on mobile. I do also like how what you equip will be reflected by your character armors, weapons etc This may not be a numbered game in the series but it is a legit DQ game. So keep an eye on those and do those as much and as far as you can too they can be helpful but early on ignore them until you get jobs... early I did some but mainly the lowest leveled easy ones... if you get your butt kicked there is no harm really in that either I am trying to remember the currency for the weapons, armor draws but anyways I only use Also if this is like the Japan version you will have good equipment for all your party by the time you get your jobs and for your initial jobs you may want to let that equipment guide you except this make one party member a priest pronto so you have heal! I’ve played the Japan version a lot and never spent a dime. Very much still enjoyed the game. What I’m looking forward to in the English version is the story and being able to understand it more.
