Is it possible that’s it’s just a bug, and they accidentally said the app requires healthkit or some other phone-specific thing? Unless Apple changed something, you can’t exclude specific devices, just require specific device features, so the app must claim to require something only phones have, otherwise it would at the very least work in 2X mode. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #8 metalcasket, Feb 13, 2020 Yeah, I just double checked and everything indicates that it’s universal except maybe it isn’t. I’m torn with what to do with the thread to be honest. I don’t want to mislead people but I guess if you can’t buy it currently on iPad, there’s no harm in keeping it listed here as universal until the devs do actually support iPad. Maslan266 Well-Known Member Oct 14, 2017 397 56 28 #9 Maslan266, Feb 13, 2020 Well, it seems like I can't play it. It isn't supported for the iPad Pro 10.5, and my iphone is an iPhone 6 snf it needs iOS 13, so I can't play it on there either. What a disappointment! metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #10 metalcasket, Feb 13, 2020 Last edited: Feb 13, 2020 Hate to rub it in the faces of the iPad crowd, but some impressions: Misfortune is such an endearing character. That Swedish accent is way beyond adorable. :*( The game’s definitely more of an interactive adventure (as advertised) than the P&C nature of Fran Bow (to be honest, that suits my current lifestyle much, much better) but it’s very much in the same vein: Dark, adult themes that are almost immediately highlighted. Oh, and that file size is definitely not questionable due to the incredibly high resolution 2D art and voice acting. Great stuff so far and absolutely feels at home on mobile. Oh, oh...and that beautiful icon with “Little Misfortune” written below with no ellipses, “LittleMisfortune” or any of that bullshit? Worth a million bucks! Undoubtedly. First and foremost there are only 5 reviews on Metacritic; 4 of which are by sites I've never heard of and only 2 of which are shit ratings. Secondly, the average user score from 31 players is an 8.1/10. Thirdly, it has an overall "Very Positive" rating on Steam (9/10) from 1500 players who are very well aware of the genre, the game itself and the developers' previous work (Fran Bow), which is held in EXTREMELY high regard. This isn't a jab at you personally, but looking solely at the critic average on Metacritic (which sadly is reflected "outside" on Google) is the worst way to determine whether a game is good or bad. Usually you have just a handful of reviews from questionable “critics”. It works better for major console/PC releases etc. metalcasket and Andy C83 like this. Control-wise? I don't know. I didn't play on mobile. But, all you have to do is move around and pick up stuff, like in any other point-and-click. Simple enough. Also, like every other game made by the devs, it has lots of dark humor. Dark humor and whimsical weirdness. ilya v. On the PC version Steam Page, it says that there are subtitles, but there are none in the video link in this thread, which makes me think that a subtitle option is not available for the iOS version. I would hit the “buy” button, but only if there is a subtitle option.
