This game is from 2017 and actually predates Harvest on PC. It does look beautiful. I do wish the app started in the standard orientation like most apps (home button on the left). It's a bit bothersome having to keep rotating when I play this app then all my other apps rotate the opposite. EDIT: yep, found it: https://subsoap.itch.io/faerie-solitaire-classic “You can also get the Remastered version on Steam (Window/macOS/Linux), iOS, and Android. If you buy the Steam version of FSR you can also unlock the iOS and Android versions at no extra charge.” Subsoap and L.Lawliet like this. Subsoap Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Jun 5, 2011 73 6 8 #15 Subsoap, Apr 12, 2020 Which device are you playing on? I just tested on an iPad 2 with lock rotation off and the game does rotate to whichever orientation you have it to. Maybe it's different with lock on? I tried different lock orientations and the home button will be on left or right depending on which portrait orientation you lock to. I'm unsure how to fix that so it works how you want, maybe allowing free orientation change is messing it up? L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #16 L.Lawliet, Apr 13, 2020 Thanks for the reply. What I meant is the game always starts up in the "non-standard orientation" which is home button on left. Almost every landscape game is oriented "home button to the right". Screen rotation does work but I have to unlock / flip my phone the other way to use it. The main issue is that since most apps are situated home button on the right, I have to keep flipping my phone 180 degrees constantly when playing this game. If you do prefer the game to start in this opposite orientation, I would hope maybe you can add an orientation flip option in the menu that could permanently save the orientation after closing the app. I've seen a few apps do this. Btw I only played one level and I love it already. How lengthy is the game? I think I might buy it after all. Subsoap likes this. Edit: Looks like it is as easy as swapping these, so next update should have this change. Now I wonder if anyone will want us to change it back? If you get into it you will easily spend 30 hours to finish it. So you know you can buy resources (with the game's currency pure gold) in the Faerie Land secret shop once you buy all of the other upgrades. General luck also increases a bunch once you reach New Game + adventure. We are currently in planning stages of a big free update to FSR that would add another 10-15 hours of content. I appreciate you taking my feedback. I can understand you might be wondering if people want you to change it back but I'm sure the majority will prefer it. It's just that it's more of an unwritten "standardized" orientation. If you pick a bunch of random landscape games on the appstore, they'll most likely open with home button right. Again, I do appreciate you trying to fix this for me. As someone who is on lock orientation 90% of the day, this is a blessing. Actually, once the upgrade goes through, I'll buy the game on Steam, then unlock it on iOS to show my support. You've been great! I'm a big fan of Golf Solitaire and lengthy / collectable type games. I enjoy games that I can get invested in and feel like I'm growing a collection. I think this will be perfect for me. Btw, I had one other question. This is nothing you absolutely need to do but I was curious if the long app name on the app itself was intentional? I know some devs shorten the names under the app icon so they don't get truncated (an example: Ace Attorney by Capcom is shortened to A.Attorney for the home screen icon). Iphone shows it as "FaerieSolitaire..." Probably because it can't fit the Remastered part. I'm sure Faerie Solitaire would fit perfectly. You don't need to change this since it's purely aesthetic but I was just wondering if it was left that was intentionally since it would look nicer without the "..." on it.
