But wholly Prinny, this game is 52 big ones in my country, and me tell you what, that’s a fair wad of cash. Basically console price. don’t get me wrong, I’ll gladly pay up from here on for console spec on mobile. But I have to admit I’m a little shocked with this one, particularly for like a nearly 20 year old game. Nonetheless, still welcome. I’ll be waiting for reviews, with particular attention to controls, and saving. The biggest thing that stops FFT being a hit for me on mobile is that you can’t save mid battle (and battles can be looooooooooooong). cool to see this though Quoad Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 1,108 217 63 #6 Quoad, Jan 30, 2020 Given my seemingly unusual ability to secure endless refunds, and my current definitely unusual access to some funds, I may take the leap. On the other hand, I’m currently knee deep in saga - and may wait until the inevitable sale. Hmmm! Yeah, I dunno...the pricing is extremely bold. I was willing to shell out the 25 for SaGa Scarlet Grace given the launch sale and Shaun's affinity toward it, but even though I've never really been an RPG guy, the battle system was super intruiging and in the end the payoff was worth it. Still learning the ins and outs but it's such a rewarding experience just playing the game. With Disgaea on the other hand, add in the word "Tactical" or "Strategy" and I'm pushed even farther away. While I'd be willing to take a gamble at 15 to 20 (or hell, 25) dollars, at 33 bucks for what's essentially a 15 year old reskinned port...nope. andsoitgoes likes this. I almost bought a few times for DS but never did but I have read up on it a lot and watched some vids. Starting with controls Battle controls are not bad everything is tapping (tap to move, tap to do this, there is no joystick control in battle) this can be frustrating at first and I’m sure gets better over time (again I’m new to this game so that factors in) I do not mind the controls in battle. okay here is where I have a gripe already when out of battle it’s tap to move (again no stick) and this is very frustrating. I have found myself moving to places I didn’t mean to and all that. Finding the switch behind the throne was a pain in the neck when it would not have been with stick controls. I cannot find any setting to change this so I am hoping I just missed it or they add it at some point. Saving There is an auto save function or you can save before going off to the battles. As far as I know you can’t save in battle (maybe with auto save on instead off it may save if you have to abruptly shut it down not sure) I agree with an above post about that being a gripe with FF Tactics you can’t save mid battle. Graphics and presentation Are amazing on my iPhone 11 and it doesn’t drain the battery. I wanted to make sure to be critical and I think I was in this quick review. It does not mean I already regret the hefty price tag I do not. It’s an amazing game. Hopefully an update with a joystick at least for out of battle will come down the road. Oh one more thing when out of battle the character moves pretty fast, oddly fast in fact which can be compounded by touch only movement controls. None of this makes it a bad game and none of it to me is deal breaking some may even like it but I don’t to be honest so when I get home I will hook up my PS4 remote and see how the controller does. curtisrshideler and L.Lawliet like this.
