My favorite game from back in the days next to Commandos. What EA did to it on mobile was a disgrace. If they ever lose licensing rights to it, I’ll my mark my calendar and celebrate the day each year for the rest of my life! Fingers crossed. I prefer the themes and the feel of this one much more than the EA one. For me I always had a difficult with EA’s version using classic controls. I either had to hard drop a block or wait for the block to drop down. There may have been a way to accelerate the drop but I never was able to do it. The other option was the modernized control method for EA Tetris but I never felt comfortable using that method. The N3twork version not only has cool themes but the touch controls feel tighter and accelerating the dropdown speed with your finger is very easy to do. EA Tetris is a little bit flashier in certain areas but I like the look of this one better overall. If N3twork adds support for landscape mode, which is admittedly rare for a mobile Tetris, and more themes over time that would be icing on the cake for the best mobile Tetris I’ve played in years. Thumbs way up! L.Lawliet likes this. After a few lines fill up it doesn’t work. At that point I swipe down & hold and the moves down faster while I hold. Usually if there are multiple options I pick one which is my favorite, but in this case all are great. I just wish that online leaderboards were included as well. Anyway, I definitely prefer this version over EA’s for iPad. Although, from what I’ve read, that the N3TWORK Inc. made the deal with the Tetris Company and will be bringing Tetris franchise on mobile, we can expect more games coming in the future. Now all I can hope for is to have Puyo Puyo Tetris and Tetris 99 ported from Switch to iOS as well.
