Hold it in your hand at midnight and pray. “God, please help me…” Then god will hear your plea. And change your fate. It was only a legend though. It wasn’t even popular for very long… A young girl wakes up, groggy in an unknown room. A talking dog appears before her and she becomes startled by the revelation he tells her: They are gods and it is their duty to change the fate of any humans that ask for their help. Letters appear in the mail and with pen in hand she begins her job. People who believe in this legend live all over the world, in every shape and form. They write and pray to the gods, seeking help for their troubles: A quiet nerd stuck in a hopeless, one-sided crush. An impoverished artist who’s lost all hope and contemplates suicide. A rookie police officer who burns with justice and hopes for his first big case. A young woman desperately chasing her dream against all odds. Evan a stray cat who would be simply satisfied with some dried fish to eat. They say that a god is good and makes choices for the greater good. However, are these really the best choices for mortals? With the power to change the fate of humankind, dive deep into the story and learn about those that seek out your help but remember, changing someone’s fate will have an effect on others whether they are interconnected or not. As you read through each story, perhaps the young girl’s memory will also return but what will she learn about herself and her mission? The stories of the characters are gradually revealed to you in the letters they wrote. From these letters, you will learn about their lives, and help solve their problems. You might not become friends, but they will be forever grateful for all you have done. Be sure to put on your detective hat before making decisions. The fates of the characters could be completely changed with your acute observation and wise deduction. Life is full of surprises. Sometimes, thinking outside the box could uncover beautiful hidden gems. Be bold, be brave, and create the best memories together with our heroes! Features + Read stories and use deduction to determine how to alter the fate of the people in these stories. + Each decision opens up the story and may even impact the stories of others. + Progress through the game and also learn more about the two gods, the mysterious girl and her companion. The game is supposed to have some extremely mature themes and is 17+ on other platforms. I've already sent the developers a tweet, but I worry that the game's been toned down to get approved. If anyone's already TOFTT, does the game start up with a warning? Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,234 540 113 #4 Brightsiderus, Jan 16, 2020 I I dunno. Definitely feels like something that was on a Nintendo console, and the closest thing I can think of are the Layton games (I'd say Phoenix Wright or Ghost Trick, but their iOS ports feel a little...sloppier (?) or less native than the Layton games). Very cool stuff, and given you're getting 16 to 20 hours of gameplay, very much worth the pricetag. They both modified a bit from Steam version. Steam is an original edition. So as for rating, Switch is the most accurate one. Steam might be higher but it was not checked by ESRB or PEGI so I just wrote 17+. iOS has a different mechanic for rating. I selected the contents like drug, violence, etc. in the system and it calculated automatically and the rating result came out as 12+. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #14 metalcasket, Jan 18, 2020 Excellent. Yeah, it's clear from the writing in-game that nothing's been held back. If anyone was on the fence, this is your clear cut proof that it's safe to jump in! ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #15 ShinHadoukin, Jan 18, 2020 Is this a good adult story or just weird gratuitous anime adult themes? If Metal says jump In I always have. I just want to verify story quality vs. simply being adult. Thanks. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #16 metalcasket, Jan 18, 2020 Ooh, this is tough. Not because I don't think the game's fantastic, but at 9 bucks, you not liking it would break my heart. The thing is, even though I did too much research about the game, I know what the overarching plot is (well, not THE plot or any spoilers, but the gist of it) but thankfully went into the experience blindly and so far it's a bunch of...well...you could consider them...short stories (?) that are seemingly intertwined. I know that's rather bleak, but while I can't say if it's a good adult story just yet, it's definitely not just adult for the sake of being adult. The shock factor (no jump scares or anything, don't worry) is very impactful right from pretty much the very beginning, but those "shit plots" haven't necessarily shown up just yet. I don't think I'll personally be disappointed though. geoelectric Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2010 464 22 18 San Jose, CA #17 geoelectric, Jan 19, 2020 This game is the closest second I’ve found to 428: Shibuya Scramble. fring Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 26, 2017 52 3 8 USA #18 fring, Jan 22, 2020 Been playing it regularly since I bought it last week. I would highly recommend it. The core mechanic is a lot of fun and messing around getting different events to happen is really interesting. Like many VNs, there's not that much art, but everything is very high quality. The writing ranges from very good to not great, but it's never really bad (and the tones and perspectives change with every letter, so there's plenty of variety).
