I just figured out how to get to the secret levels I kept unlocking. Didn’t realize you could swipe left on the level select screen to access the secret levels. Maybe you could add some kind of prompt to let players know there’s more here, @Masstertron I’m still trying to get past the first secret level. Man, it’s brutal! Love it Masstertron likes this. I read a review on the App Store where someone said they had completed all the levels. Were the stars collected from the different towers meant to be added together in the Game Center leaderboard? It’s showing my star count from Gloom Tower on there but none from the other towers. They are counted on the main title screen though. Just curious. I went back through the levels I beat and three starred them last night. You did such a good job with this game; I’m really getting into it the more I play and the more complex the level layouts get. Also realized your time doesn’t start until you actually start moving which is awesome. Also, lots of nice touches like tons of color scheme unlocks, ability to switch from landscape to portrait on the fly, preview level layouts, and very user friendly ad implementation. I intend to leave a review on the US App Store sometime today. Hope to see you get featured here. Bloom tower, level 6. The vertical one. Best time I managed is 4:18, and even that was a struggle as until then I hovered between 4.20-4.23. @Masstertron, what am I doing wrong? (I’m rushing up-left at the last possible second before the edge of the light catches up) Wow. The next one (7) I can’t even get a single star on (record is 5:20). And struggling to 3-star on 17 (6:92) Masstertron Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Dec 18, 2013 117 60 28 Game Developer Sydney, Australia #12 Masstertron, Jan 23, 2020 *Gulp* Confirmed there is an issue with the star-times in those levels. Fixed for the next update. I'll also comb through the other Bloom levels to make sure other star-times are not awry. Thanks! The only other one Bloom level I haven’t got 3 stars on (boss level aside) is 29, though I don’t think it’s impossible... yet. Current time is 13:43. EDIT: got it, with an 8.92. EDIT2: I’m now stuck on the Bloom final boss. I can reliably and quickly get every lamp until the one in the bottom-right. After that, you’re not fast enough to outrun the light if you go left, and dropping down into the corner and coming back up doesn’t work either. What’s the correct play here? Other than that, I had a weird issue pop up where after completing a level, my total score/stars went down significantly. The sub-total on the home screen and Gloom Tower were affected (possibly others too), with Gloom saying I have something like 15/120. To fix, I just complete the first Gloom level and at the end they’re back to normal. Masstertron likes this. Up until now, the joy of this game has been outmanoeuvring the enemies, finding a sneaky way through tough but reliable movement of the lights. But combine random movement from those two enemies with the (otherwise fantastic) mechanic of Doom tower and that s*** is not f***ing fun. I’m incredibly disappointed and if I beat this level and there is more random pathing, I may never return to this tower. Masstertron likes this. But I definitely understand your frustration, with the randomness and chance aspect. I will see what changes I can make to improve that. Thanks for your thoughts The rest of Doom Tower does have more random pathing. If you beat level 10 you'll get access to Boom Tower at least, to give that a go. EDIT: I have fixed the Bloom Boss level for the next update. David1105 Member Feb 12, 2012 24 2 3 #16 David1105, Jan 24, 2020 I like the game and the concept however I feel like the controls are not as precise as they should be. When you stop your finger movement the character slides a bit still and this makes for imprecise control on tight levels (and leads to deaths). Not sure if this was intentional by the dev. For a control scheme like this that I think would be perfect for this game check out Insanity! by Artem Rakhmatulin on the App Store. Very tight controls in the same vain and no sliding at the end when your finger stops. Echoseven Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 19, 2011 6,091 270 83 The red Skittle #17 Echoseven, Jan 24, 2020 I’ve now completed and 3-starred it (and a few past 10) but my frustration with it still stands - especially when it comes to getting 3 stars. Sometimes the random pathing ends up with the bottom enemy going straight up and down between the spikes and there’s literally no way to get past him until he randomly changes direction. I’d maybe widen his boundary circle slightly, maybe to match the upper one? In my case, trying to 3-star that level consisted of suiciding until the lower one moved left-right and then hoping that the upper one would be favourable. Sorry I was a little frustrated earlier, since I’d spent nearly two hours on it. My frustration stemmed from the fact that I couldn’t react quickly to the random path changes. It’s like “Oh he’s suddenly coming towards me, but I can make it, dash righ- oh I’m dead.”. I’d be absolutely fine with the randomness if we could have rapid movement, but the combination got me. But hey, I’m back for more and loving it! Masstertron likes this.
