Looks promising. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, Jan 9, 2020 Gotta say, I do NOT get the "fullscreen" complaints on X devices. The game IS absolutely fullscreen in that it does indeed use the white background as a border of sorts, but really...this is as fullscreen as the game is going to get. I don't get what people want? To push the two split screens closer to the opposite borders of your phone? There are absolutely no black sidebars in the game. Regardless, I own the other Rusty Lake premium titles, but have never really gotten into them because they're part of the Rusty Lake universe that includes a whole bunch of ad-supported Cube Escape games (and I don't do ad-supported games that don't have a way to deactivate ads), but I'm enjoying this immensely and will most certainly visit the other premium titles again. Great stuff. Rocksaint likes this. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #12 Rocksaint, Jan 9, 2020 Awesome. You might have sold me on this one. I was waiting for the update to get it, but in the end, it's the game that actually matters. As long as it's not noticeable, I am okay with it. metalcasket likes this. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #13 metalcasket, Jan 9, 2020 Do it! *thumbs up* I'm curious as to what exactly has to be updated to make it fullscreen, but I suspect the game had black borders at some point in time and they were replaced with the (beautiful, actually) all white everything...thing. *scratches beard* Boardumb Administrator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Apr 14, 2009 8,964 880 113 THE BOSS Sacramento, CA #14 Boardumb, Jan 9, 2020 The update I mentioned is already out, I believe it hit before the game was available in the US. I didn't get a chance to play it prior to the updated version but I can confirm that it's definitely full screen now, though as Metal mentions it sort of doesn't matter since the game takes place in two windows anyway. metalcasket likes this. It utilizes the touchscreen controls brilliantly, so much so that it feels perfect for mobile. You could easily mistake it for a game by Annapurna Interactive. It's that good. And yeah, I was wrong. The game is indeed fullscreen on latest devices. It's just that the game is structured in such a way that it might give the impression that it's not. But rest assured, it's as fullscreen as it can be. Get it. It's worth the purchase. metalcasket likes this. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #16 macplash, Jan 10, 2020 As it turns out, I, on the other hand, am completely unfamiliar with Rusty Lake series. Would it be possible for me to jump right into this game without knowing anything about the whole Rusty Lake universe? Or is it considered a significant disadvantage and I might even get stuck in it because of that? lapin Member Mar 16, 2013 16 0 1 #17 lapin, Jan 10, 2020 Eh, great example how to ruin nice gameplay mechanics. It might have the most boring and uninteresting story with straightforward gameplay I've seen so far -and it could have been the opposite. It's so boring that you don't feel like to relate to any character or events happening. Also, most of the puzzles were completely random and out of context -half of the game was rushed. It just felt like a random object searching flash games. Please don't rush your projects, you're not an AAA game developer. I wouldn't mind waiting for another year to see a proper game. It could have so much potential but now it's just a boring game with a cringy story. If it was a big-budget production, I would have refunded it already. ps. what's up with the art style? pss. Also, the girl (the one is not the nurse) looks like she has a moustache. or constantly biting her bottom lip. TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #20 TheGreatEscaper, Jan 10, 2020 It’s not necessary to play the previous games! Some context helps make the events of this game feel more significant but it’s definitely not required (I’ve just played to the secret ending and I think this definitely stands on its own).
