With Chaos Rings 3 being destroyed by ios13 (and SQE refusing to fix it), I'm hoping this will fill my new SQE mobile rpg game void. It is on the pricier side but apparently this is the discounted price. ------------ I'm really enjoying this game. It's my first Saga game and I hear it's the most accessible. I absolutely love the show paced turn battle system which takes some definite strategy. It actually reminds me a lot of Evertale, which has one of my favorite battle systems. There are many options in the game to speed up, etc. Also there's a mode in case you have a giant phone screen that changes all the menu designs. I don't recommend it unless you use an iPad since it makes the text really small. My only two issues. 1) Home bar isn't hidden so it constantly turns on and off while you touch the screen. Really annoying. This actually makes the "big screen" mode unusable since there are buttons right under the home bar. (I wish apple offered the option just to remove it entirely. I hate the home bar since I know I can swipe up. I don't need the bar shown in ALL my apps. It's one of the worst design decisions in all of apple history imo. It's like training wheels on a bike that you can never take off.) I wish I could tell SQE to fix this but with their track record they ignore almost all feedback users have sent. In terms of consumer friendliness, I'd rate SQE one of the worst. 2) Optional voice acting. I prefer Japanese voices, in which they used many of my favorite voice actors. There's no option to get those and you're given some English voice overs which do an okay job. This is actually a fully well done port and I believe it's the first English release of this game. They did a huge job with it as you can see from the interface and the dubbing. The release seems rather low key but it's obvious they worked heavily on it. It's a console game and not a "made for mobile" game. When you get a chance pick up 2 and 3 they are two very good JRPGs with interesting concepts. The game will give you a questionnaire and then give you a character. You can keep redoing it but certain characters are harder than others. It has to do with the allies they encounter and some other things I forgot. I do hear it's a very lengthy game and each character could take 50+ hours. However they said there isn't too much of a strong story and is more battle oriented. Dailon80 likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
