But now, rumors are spreading about a wielder of dark magic - a Witchmaster. Fearing the rumors to be true, the village musters a militia to prepare for the worst. You are a recruit enrolling to defend the village. Little do you know, fate has something special in store for you… Vampire’s Fall: Origins is a 2D open-world RPG with turn-based combat. Create your character, choose your bloodline and venture out in the world. Will you wreck havoc in the land, or be the hero people are longing for? Will you use your powers to battle other players or to hunt ferocious monsters? • Open world • Fully customizable characters • Turn-based combat • Immersive stories • Dialogue choices • PvP battles • In-game chat • Skills and abilities to shape your character • Choose your bloodline: Nosferatu, Ranjeni, Magistrav or Equides • Over 150 graphically unique weapons and armor About us Vampire's Fall: Origins has been in development for three years. We set out to create a serious RPG for mobile phones without the usual mobile game mechanics. There's no energy system. There's no 50-click tutorial. There's little hand holding. There are, in our opinion, interesting battle mechanics, funny dialogues and a sense of wonder in the world. From our three indie-dev hearts, good luck and have fun! You can play as a male or female character. I had it on my iPad for some time but just started playing for a few hours yesterday. I quite like it, and it has generally received positive reviews. While it is free with iap’s, the iap’s are mainly just cosmetic. It is possible to complete the single player campaign without any purchases. There are also optional ads you can watch to increase the gold/xp you gain per battle. There is a supporters iap that removes all these ads and gives you the extra gold/xp automatically as well as some storage space increase. It cost me $8 AUD and as far as I am concerned that is a good price which basically gives you a premium game. You can play the game offline if you want. You can also battle real people in the PvP mode if you like. The combat is pretty basic (though becomes a lot more intense as you progress). You are on one side of the screen and the enemy is on the other. You use standard attacks and combos/special actions and spells as does your enemy. The combat reminds me a lot like Skilltree Saga, a game that had generally mixed reviews but one which I enjoy playing on my iPad. If you die you are transported to the closest town with a small loss of gold. It is a very forgiving system. The game saves at any time and you return to the exact same position where you left. There is an interesting storyline, though I haven’t played it very far yet. The game has a dark setting as expected as you are a vampire. There is an online chat system that you can access. I have so far found the community to be pretty decent and helpful. The game has an absolute ton of content. Many players have told me they have played for hundreds of hours. This is of coarse due to the endgame content which includes 6 levels of rebirth. The main campaign can be done in about 6 hours but there are over a hundred side quests as well that you can do which will increase the time spent doing the campaign. Here is a 10min video review. He mentions there are no iap’s but as I mentioned above that is no longer the case. Though I reiterate - no need to buy them. sakara214ever and L.Lawliet like this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #3 sakara214ever, Nov 28, 2019 I really like this one thanks for posting Stubbieoz. Looks very 9th Dawn like which is great (As that games an iOS classic). Downloaded and i'll buy an IAP to say thanks to the devs when i have a proper go later stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #6 stubbieoz, Nov 28, 2019 I think the 7 hours I quoted above to finish the main campaign is somewhat understated. I have been doing all the side quests though (I keep coming across them and being the completist that I am, I am compelled to have to clear them out from my journal). So far after about 8 hours I believe I am only about a quarter of the way through the campaign according to the wiki. Just a tip that I have been given. Don’t worry too much about PvP early on or even at all through the first run of the campaign. See the thing is the game will try to find you a match to your level. But as the game is a year old, a lot of players are far more advanced and can wipe you out in one or two turns. If it doesn’t find a level match it will just grab any one available. While I did manage to get a couple of battles won, most were just impossible. Just saying don’t be discouraged if you are a PvP player and you are not winning early on. PvP comes much later. Which is fine by me as I don’t normally play PvP (though with that being said, I can see me easily getting to like that part of this game). sakara214ever likes this. I feel similar. When I first played the game some many months ago it just didn’t grab me in. Now it’s the only game I want to play. There has been a load of patches since then and now the game is very polished. It’s also a nice change to play a game without what appears to be the latest craze...... skills and abilities using cards, lol. sakara214ever likes this. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #10 stubbieoz, Nov 30, 2019 For anyone who is curious, you can link your facebook account to the game and then you can continue the game on any device. It looks and plays quite good on my big iPad Pro and my iPhone 8 plus. I don’t know if it’s optimised for iPhone X’s or 11’s though. sakara214ever likes this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #11 sakara214ever, Nov 30, 2019 Yeah true and the syncing is flawless.
