Big fan of Sword Art Online and look forward to playing this game a bit more. Just finished the tutorial and the presentation is great and the turn based combat seems to have a bit of complexity to it. Thumbs up so far. I have just read the reviews on the French AppStore and I am quite surprised to see many people saying that you feel the Gatcha system really early on. But most of them just shake it off saying that even with Energy (aka Timers), and the Lootboxes, it doesn't really block you that much and you still can enjoy the game without problem. To me, this contradicts itself and I don't know what to think. Also, there has been 2-3 MMOs already based on SAO. How is this one new or different from the others? The SaO games that I’ve played so far have been generous with the premium currencies. Can’t speak too much on this one but I haven’t felt a need to spend anything yet. The three I’ve played were: Memory Defrag- IMO an incredible f2p action game that still looks and plays great to this day. My first introduction to SaO was through Memory Defrag. Integral Factor- I want to like this game but imo it kinda feels like a hot mess. Presentation wise it just doesn’t measure up to Defrag and the combat feels second rate compared to other f2p RPG’s of the same style on the AppStore. I enjoy the story but it doesn’t measure up to the previous game for me. Alicization Rising- Just played for about thirty minutes so far and it’s definitely a return to form on iOS. The visuals are excellent and the combat is surprisingly complex. The turn based gameplay may not be for everyone but so far it seems like a quality f2p RPG. I would recommend watching the anime first. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password?
