This, despite avoiding anything clown-related with a passion. I hope the game will emphasise the aesthetics of the trailer and nothing stereotypically clownish... let's see. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,239 179 63 #4 Royce, Nov 18, 2019 I had this on preorder for a long time and was super excited for it based on the unique art style. I waited through the delayed release and downloaded with pleasure the night it came out. It was a major disappointment. The gameplay is incredibly bland and the monetization is over the top aggressive. The very first stage has a point where you spin around one of the pillows and whether or not it is possible to jump and avoid the enemy seems to be 100% based on luck. It was super frustrating. I went to look at a gameplay video to see how it could be done and basically they just show someone loaded up with dozens of relics blasting through the stage. I was not about to pay a dollar for a single 10 second power up so sadly I just gave up on this one. Seagull Fish likes this. Seagull Fish Member Nov 18, 2019 7 1 3 #5 Seagull Fish, Nov 18, 2019 Hey! It’s Seagull Fish I’m sorry you had problems with that poppet—admittedly she is very hard to get past. If you get to that spinner right before her and see that her lance is going to hit you, do a double jump straight up. It should buy you enough time for her to swing away. You can also jump over her (her lance is the only collidable part. You can also double jump from Two spinners before her, and go under her. Don’t be afraid to go above or below the screen! But regardless thank you for trying out the game and we hope you continue to play. There is A LOT more to see!!!!! Thanks -Gary ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #6 ramzarules, Nov 19, 2019 Eh, super floaty jumps plus one mistake sends you back the whole level, so the music and the gameplay end up more frustrating than fun. Wanted to like it. Seagull Fish Member Nov 18, 2019 7 1 3 #7 Seagull Fish, Nov 20, 2019 Hi there Ramzarules! Thanks so much for giving us a try. Message us on Facebook @EntertheReveries or on Twitter @madamastar. We will hook ya up with some free shards. This will allow you to buy relics and beat the level more easily. We’d love for you to see all the game has to offer. - Gary ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #8 ramzarules, Nov 20, 2019 Hi Gary, and thank you for the generous offer However, because i think the basis of the game and the aesthetics are really solid, i would like -like you- more people to experience your game and all it has to offer. Taking you up on your offer i would be using "cheats" to pass through one level, it would be a one off solution for one level and one person. Instead i would suggest that you try to tweak the game balance a little bit, by easier to see obstacles, tightening the jumps a little bit, or more importantly, by checkpoints before major hurdles. My personal suggestion would be to remove the lives enitrely, and for each stage to be able to buy checkpoints via ingame currency, or ads, or a one-off premium unlock, whatever you think works for you. We will look into the difficulty upon further releases as we are only one week in! In the meantime if you’d like a few free shards to make it to the checkpoints and see what else the game has to offer please reach out on Facebook (@enterthereveries) or Twitter(@madamastar) Enjoy the rest of your week Seagull Fish Member Nov 18, 2019 7 1 3 #11 Seagull Fish, Nov 21, 2019 Love the idea of removing lives . We will adjust a few things in the December release was to make it just a little easier as you bring up excellent points. There are two checkpoints for each level after each stage (three stages per level). See if you can make it! Thanks again for your invaluable feedback, it’s appreciated. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #12 Asp, Nov 21, 2019 It takes a little patience to clear that first tricky jump but it’s not that difficult; took me about 10 attempts. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,239 179 63 #13 Royce, Nov 21, 2019 The thing is it’s not so much that it’s difficult, it’s that it’s largely dependent on luck. It depends on what position the enemy is in when you happen to come around the pillow and into position to jump. If you’re lucky, it’s easy. If you’re not it seems to actually be impossible. It’s frustrating in a bad way. It would be different if it was just a matter of getting “better” at the game but it isn’t. Seagull Fish Member Nov 18, 2019 7 1 3 #14 Seagull Fish, Dec 3, 2019 Hi Brightsiderus - As promised we've made the game a bit easier and would love for you to check it out again. We have tweaked a few things based on your input and made the game a little easier. Additionally there are checkpoints at the end of each stage (three stages per district). The newest version is live and available for download here ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #16 ramzarules, Dec 4, 2019 Hi! I gave it another honest try, and the first lance demon is easier to pass due to the smaller size, but the game still feels like you are jumping wherever and somehow hoping to land wherever, with almost zero control of where or how fast your character is headed. As a result, half the times i jumped over the lance i failed to land anywhere and lost a life, and when somehow i managed to land on a circle, i lost on the subsequent jumps because i cant control the jumps speed/height, and if you double jump you feel like a grashopper in zero gravity hoping to land on a planet. And losing returned me at the start of the level. So you made the obstacles a little easier, but you didnt change the jump feel, or add checkpoints. The no-autorotation is nitpicking in addition to that. Still a very frustrating game imo.
