I’m sure it could use more polish, but what I’ve played so far feels like the real deal. The touch controls are complex but responsive. There’s a bit of Half-Life, a bit of Dark Souls, a bit of COD, with a pretty relentless pace, varied environments, RPG elements, and even some first person platforming. Can’t complain! But you know what? I’ve played many one-man Unity/Unreal engine games with purchased assets that are simply dreadful. This developer has put together a thoroughly entertaining, well balanced, and attractive 40 min game — the shooting works, the puzzles work, heck, even the first person platforming works. And on mobile, no less. I get what you’re saying, but for me competence counts for a lot, especially with this kind of game on iOS. Skall, bx59 and Son of Anarchy like this. bx59 Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2016 238 116 43 #10 bx59, Nov 2, 2019 I understand your point too, and I'm not ignoring the talent here. This game sounds like a dream game to me, haven't seen anything like it style-wise since Implosion. And by no means I've posted my previous message for toxic reasons. BUT, I also believe the dev's kind of mindset is why the market & scene is so corrupted these days. I'd even understand a sincere apology, but everything I've read so far just sounds greedy. Therefore, I prefer supporting more authentic experiences & healthy attitudes with my money. Hope you all enjoying the game though, looks really fun, let's get back to that. Not sure how long it is given this is the first chapter but assuming they will add the rest for free? squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #14 squarezero, Nov 3, 2019 I beat it in about 40 mins. There is incentive to do a second run — you get a Devil May Cry-style rating at the end. We’ll see how they handle the next chapters. The point of releasing the game on mobile was to raise funds to finish the game on PC (which will now release as a single-game experience). They may keep releasing sections on mobile as chapters or do a single IAP for the complete game. Either way, I’d pay for additional content. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #15 metalcasket, Nov 3, 2019 You know what? I’ll bite. Screw it. You guys take my recommendations seriously and the least I can do is jump on something y’all are praising. I hit the dev up on Twitter asking for clarification if this is just a way to fund the full PC game or if the full thing will eventually reach iOS. Crossing my fingers he replies. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,125 703 113 #16 anthony78, Nov 3, 2019 I’ve only gotten past the first puzzle room but have been really impressed with the gameplay so far.
