These guys together were so iconic. Although, when it comes to their solo performances, Man of the East (1972) with Terrence Hill is still one of my favorite movies ever. Definitely my favorite “spaghetti western”. The game combines two iconic movie figures and pays homage to side-scrolling brawl games like Renegade. All that wrapped in beautiful pixel art visuals. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? And it’s quarter of a PC version’s price as a cherry on top. Howgh. Grew up with these guys, too — loved “Trinity is my name” and the sequel. What I’ve seen so far captures the spirit well. Touch controls are a bit awkward, but I hasn’t been an issue yet. The music was like a nostalgia rush! It all just comes back. For an old-timers who grew up with these movies, this should be an instabuy without a hesitation. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,685 105 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #10 djstout, Oct 31, 2019 It’s just too good! It reminded me the many times I spent watching those movies and it reminded me how much I loved them all, the actions, the humour, the music! It’s a must have for all those who grew up with Bud and Terrence! Gambler likes this. It’s super old school gaming done in the best way possible. Just a hint: There’s no mid-level saving, so be sure you’ve got at least 15 minutes to dedicate to each level you’re going to play and do NOT return to the main menu unless you get a Level Complete screen and the game goes to the level select screen. Even if you get returned to an earlier bit in a lever after getting a Game Over. Trust me, I had to learn that the hard way. Partly due to the fact that there really are less than a handful of premium beat ‘em ups on iOS, but the sheer variety and amazingly stupid humor is something to behold. As mentioned above, the only caveat is the lack of checkpoints, but $4 for roughly 4 hours of play is absolutely perfect and the game never overstays its welcome. Gwarmaxx likes this. Never understood why this little feature hasn‘t been added sooner. Alas this only seems to go for Apple Arcade and even there the list is grossly incomplete. Just check out this link for example https://www.macworld.com/article/3439826/here-are-all-the-apple-arcade-games-that-can-support-controllers.html - Out of 80 AA games with controller support only 18 state that fact while 62 games have controller support but still don‘t have the corresponding icon on their App Store page. Suppose the devs are also partially to blame for this but either way, hope this feature gets a) more common and precise in the future and b) they‘ll finally are going to add it to games outside of Apple Arcade as well. Time would be ripe after Dualshocks and Xbone controllers are supported by iOS now and playing by controller will probably get more widespread. Hope we‘ll soon live in this world where none of us has to ask about mfi-support in nearly every new TA game thread anymore. Edit: Alas don‘t know about this game yet (still have a pretty big Apple Arcade backlog) but as its Steam version supports controllers, chances are good that this iOS iteration does as well. Hope somebody else can chime in on and confirm this. Skall likes this.
