It is shocking the amount of quality information this app has, it really puts Apple's official App Store to shame. Anyway, I figure this thread can also be a general GameClub discussion thread, and there's a new prefix we can add to any existing game threads that are part of GameClub now, to denote that they're part of the service. Also, be sure to poke around in the app at all the games that are part of GameClub and if you owned any of them previously you should be able to update to the new versions whether you subscribe to GameClub or not. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #3 psj3809, Oct 23, 2019 Just signed up !!! Go ahead and delete this post and ban me if you like, Eli. You’ve already turned TouchArcade into a Ghost Town. Edit: Boy, was I wrong!GameClub is AWESOME!! To him it appears unplayable unless he subscribes. Admittedly turning off automatic updates would’ve solved this problem, and admittedly he was unaware he could reclaim the previous purchase for free, which is actually good feedback for GameClub- maybe they need to make the process clearer? But we can’t just rip into everyone who raises a concern on TouchArcade about iap or controller support or subscriptions or whatever. We’re supposed to be one big group who love iOS gaming and come to the forums to contribute & talk about our shared passion, because basically it’s the only place we have left. More and more members are feeling like they can’t speak their genuine concerns aloud anymore, and it is indeed turning TouchArcade into a ghost town. Not everyone has to agree but it’s not fair to alienate the minority. yankeeblue000 likes this. Too often people have knee jerk reactions and race online to spew their bile before taking a breath and learning the facts of their situation. It's hard for me to imagine anyone having an issue with what GameClub is doing. They are updating dozens of games that were broken, unoptimized, and in many cases completely unplayable and unavailable anymore and giving those updates to previous owners and trying to make a business out of being able to keep those games updated and working well into the future. Even if you don't believe in the pay model and choose not to subscribe, the games you previously bought now magically work again for free, and that wouldn't have happened without GameClub. How someone can actually be mad about that is beyond me. squarezero, Baron Cappuccino, yankeeblue000 and 5 others like this. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #12 vectorarchitekt, Oct 24, 2019 Subscribed, so thrilled this is finally live! Same with Incoboto. I think I had Incoboto Mini, so this version doesn't restore for me. Regarding Vectrex, are you guys getting that to restore for you? I have the original still on my device but the GameClub version looks to be a whole new SKU, so it isn't recognized for me. I've only ever used one Apple ID, so that is not the issue. Besides those 3, everything else has restored and updated for me, which I am very excited about. I hope this is a success for GameClub. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #19 macplash, Oct 24, 2019 Dunno about Vectrex cause I didn’t play it, but The Sleeping Prince is there which I spent some serious time with. Great service, a lot of games there that brings good memories back. If nothing else, this last year makes me proud being primarily an iOS gamer again. And it seems it’s getting better with each coming month. The amount of quality premium stuff is astonishing. I love it! My only dream left is for Apple to bring the good old Game Center back. You can’t add anyone. You can see people on your friend’s list, their games, achievements leaderboards etc. The points on my newest device from 2015, Air 2, iOS 13-all of the Game Center points and leaderboards still get transferred over. I’m at about 304,000 or so. During the time Apple was removing the app on their end, it caused a lot of problems for a large portion of people who upgraded from iOS 8 to iOS 9. Apple denied this problem, but it was an inside job with their own servers. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
