Explore a delightful but dangerous overworld, brave menacing dungeons, and improve your hero in a charming village, during your quest to overcome the evil that plagues the island. Unleash the mystical Sword of Ditto for an unforgettable adventure filled with delightful characters, extraordinary loot, and heroic battles! Unique Adventures Linked Together: Each adventure becomes its own legend, both distinct from those that came before it and part of a heroic legacy that bind together. The deeds, successes, and failures of each hero's adventure have implications for those that follow including the ability to find weapons and recover loot from history’s fallen heroes. Weapons, Items, & Stickers: Wield the traditional sword and bow combo alongside the decidedly less traditional vinyl record Frisbee, magic golf club, and colossal foot from the heavens to put Mormo and her legions back on their heels. Collect and equip stickers to boost up your hero and add perks to their gear to become powerful enough to banish the wicked sorceress. Main Quests and Secret Side Missions: Approach your legend however you see fit by battling through dungeons in any order, completing side missions through dark caverns and deep wells, or confront Mormo right from the start for the ultimate challenge. Thing is...I have no frickin' idea if this version includes the expansion and the vast improvements it brought with it. Contacted Devolver on Twitter and haven't gotten a reply yet, but I'm tempted to download it before I hit the sack anyway. What's holding me back is, much like you, I just refunded Bad North and I don't want to push my limits with my refunds in case this turns out to be the vanilla version of Ditto. ste86uk likes this. Quite handy in case the game really sucks. Which I’m pretty sure won’t be the case of The Swords of Ditto I pre-ordered the moment the option was there. I know nothing of this game other than what I’ve seen here and the AppStore never played it before or heard much about it. Yes the refunds are very good, especially since no option let’s you simply get one if you want to report an issue or anything but then simply go to I want a refund and your done! But I don’t condone refunds and try to avoid them as I want to support developers for making games I can enjoy. Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #10 Ringerill, Oct 23, 2019 Now live for some reason before the announced date! Still in the beginning. The only comment I can make is the awful movement control: it is like a D-pad but not really... It is not locked so wherever you are on the screen, if you move your finger to the right, you will move to the right. So you have to adjust you finger position every 10 seconds if you want to go straight because the sensitivity and precision is high and the smallest movement is taken into account. Still very nice port! I remember when I pre-ordered it on Mac and couldn’t play it months after the release... The game kept crashing in dungeons and sometimes randomly blocked you between maps. That’s the reason it has received bad reviews on other platforms. Still now, some problems persist with the Mac version so this iOS is good news because it works quite well for the moment. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #11 ste86uk, Oct 23, 2019 That’s a shame about the controls, looks like the game would be perfect for dual thin sticks like brawl stars Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #12 Ringerill, Oct 23, 2019 Well you get used to it at some point. And it might even be confortable on an iPad, I haven't tried. But making a slight move that made me miss the enemy or a platform happened to me so many times that I can't really say that you get used to it at 100%. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #13 squarezero, Oct 23, 2019 I did after twenty minutes. From the videos it really makes it looks like it should just be like brawl stars controls or wouldn’t that work on this? squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #15 squarezero, Oct 23, 2019 The movement controls are very similar to Brawl Stars — the stick is just more sensitive, which helps with combat but makes straightforward movement a bit awkward. Melee is mapped to a single button and based on movement direction — which is pretty common for hack n’ slash RPGs. Range attacks are based on movement direction as well, but there seems to bit a bit of target assist. I really like the dodge roll — each monster has their own attack signal, so once you learn it it’s very satisfying to use. Overall, the controls are very responsive, which is the main thing I want from this kind of game. The big caveat is that just because I got used to them doesn’t mean that you will. But I’ve already put a few hours into the game, and I’m not finding it frustrating. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #16 ste86uk, Oct 23, 2019 Hm that sounds like it could work I guess without trying it’s hard for me to imagine. I like walking around and holding the second stick to move around my aim while walking. I guess if people say it works then it might be worth a shot. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #17 metalcasket, Oct 23, 2019 I'm not gonna lie, it does indeed get some used to getting to (don't know where my train of thought went when typing that out, but it's too funny to edit) but it doesn't feel foreign soon after. They're not going to get any closer to perfect than this. It just takes a second to click. Closest thing I can think of is movement in Death Road to Canada. Have you tried that out? In fact, as a whole, I don't think there's a more platform-aware game on the App Store. Everything has been well thought out regarding the various menus, assigning items/weapons to the single relative virtual button, button placement, opacity of the HUD/GUI relative to Sword of Ditto's location onscreen. It's a phenomenal, phenomenal port in every single way. squarezero, ste86uk and sakara214ever like this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #20 sakara214ever, Oct 23, 2019 Lol read your comment and said what the hell.
